I am all for Mario and Luigi having a “brains and brawn” dynamic, especially since it ties with their respective titular games; Mario platformers emphasise action, while Luigi’s Mansion games have several puzzles and brainteasers.

You gotta play Bowser’s Inside Story. Either the remake or the original.

1.) My favorite thing about Snoutlet is how supportive he is to Luigi, which makes sense considering how he and Luigi met first.  He's like a complete 180 of Starlow, who thankfully isn't anywhere near as obnoxious as she was in her past appearances.

2.) Luigi Logic is easily the best thing in this game and I genuinely want it to appear in the next Mario and Luigi game.

Choc: You can't spell IGNorant, without IGN.

Me: Ouch. You deserve this, Choc. 👑

3:06:53 I love how Bowser sees Mario and Luigi from, like, three miles away and decides to stop fighting Zokket just to attack them. Real hater behavior.

Fun Fact: You didn't need to kill glohmed Mario. You could've just knock away his hammer and then wait a few seconds for him to turn normal, but you chose full anime betrayal mode instead.

4:13:00 For the Zokket boss fight, if anyone is not aware, you are supposed to hit the hammer out of the bros hand and NOT counterattack your bro. You will get a unique animation of the bro breaking through glohm and joining back to your side.

Good reward for not being willing to hurt your own bro. Also feels rewarding since the entire game is about bonds.

I love how the opening doesn't even try to explain why Bowser is here; it's just like : "And Bowser is attacking the Mushroom Kingdom because of course he is."

kind of disappointed that Choc didn't do any of the side quests. I was looking forward to seeing choc go to Chilliam and Burnadette's wedding, because the Mario Brothers do, in fact, do weddings.

One rule: You need to play Partners in Time BEFORE Bowser's Inside Story. It comes first chronologically, after all! And it's pretty important you meet a specific character in PiT before BIS to fully understand what the hell's happening. Got that? Good. Now I'm off to watch half of this monster before bed!

I loved the IGN joke about ignorant, also if you want to permanently take down Fawful as Bowser and the Bros, you better believe you need to play Bowsers Inside Story, it leads up right after Superstar Saga

According to some interviews they actually wanted to make the final part of this game (that I won't discuss in this comment due to spoilers for the video as well as the game not even being that old yet) much darker and we even got some concept art about it and other story beats of the game.  Nintendo had them scale it back but it would've been real interesting to see how those story beats would've shaken out if they were given the go ahead for it all.

"it's been a minute" he says with 141 Sprite Bulbs... like damn I be checking plugs I can craft all the time and bro just forgot about them

Mario and Luigi was back like they never left.

I really appreciate how Luigi is given the about the same amount of respect as Mario in this game (I feel like the recent Mario titles in general have done this, but it's especially noticeable in this game). Just about every character is nice to him (Starlow does still make small jabs at him here and there, but it's nowhere near as obnoxious as it is in the previous games thankfully and she seems to have considerably warmed up to him) and acknowledges his heroism just as much as they acknowledge Mario's, which is the way it always should be in my opinion. I think it shows that Nintendo is more or less acknowledging that Luigi is about on equal footing with Mario in popularity and status and how Luigi wants to be more helpful to Mario in general as shown in Dream Team. And I really hope Luigi Logic stays a permanent part of Luigi's character going forward. I love the idea and dynamic of Mario being the more straightforward bro who takes charge while Luigi is more cautious and comes up with ideas and plans for Mario and himself against the villains and is quite intelligent and crafty. I really hope this dynamic becomes a norm moving forward.

Nintendo: Doesn’t do anything for Mar10 day
Choctopus: I’ll do it myself

I'm hoping Acquire gets to work on another mario & luigi entry, given what they were able to do on the switch 8 years into its life now that were entering into the switch 2 era

Brothership is one of the best Mario RPG's for me

Believe it or not this was my second Mario and Luigi game too!  I’ve only fully played through Bowser’s Inside Story, gonna be honest, this definitely lives up to the classics, at least I think so.
