I still dont understand how Disney made this movie and rise of skywalker, the difference in quality is HUGE

I remember when Rogue One was just announced. Never in a million years did I expect the movie would be such a masterpiece

To me, the most tragic thing about this movie is that Rogue One got no medals, no statues were made for them, their names were probably never even mentioned again. They're the foot soldiers who make the real difference and get no recognition.

I re-watch the ending of Rogue One at least every couple of weeks.  The last 45 minutes of this movie is the best Star Wars since 1983.

I remember seeing this in theaters: that feeling of dread when K-2SO was destroyed, and then one by one the rest of the team was killed. The finale was already spectacular, and then you heard Vader’s breathing behind the terrified rebel troops.  Insane!  I hope Star Wars can be this thrilling again.

What kills me is Disney nailed it with Vader in this movie. I wish they did more with it. Him walking through that hallway is what I believe to be one of the best scenes in the entire Star Wars franchise. There is genuine emotional response of fear with how they did the lighting, the music, and the way Vader holds himself while casually murdering rebels. So fricking awesome.

3:50 "Do you think anybody's listening?" Hits different after the "Andor" prison arc.

This movie earned its place as a tether between the prequel and original trilogies.
For the film side of Star Wars, it's still the best thing to have been delivered in the Disney era.

@7:30 This was when we finally got to see Vader in action as a killing machine. Not Force-choking one guy, not one on one lightsaber duels, not killing Younglings off-screen, but actually in action butchering dozens of helpless people.

The last 40 minutes of this movie was the best Star Wars I’ve ever seen. It started slow, but when it took off it didn’t let up

"We're a consular ship, on a diplomatic mission!"

"I literally saw you fly away from me at Scarif like 15 minutes ago!"

7:25 - Lady in left up corner acts like true fan. I love it 😂😂❤❤

I do kind of love how this movie recontextualizes the Leia/Vader conversation at the beginning of ANH. Watching that movie on it's own, you think that maybe she thinks he has no way of actually knowing she's a rebel, and so he's just massively overstepping onto her diplomatic privilege. After this movie, when she says "Only you could be so bold." I'm like "woman, he saw you peeling awayafter the heist!"

Rogue One is the first SW movie to actually make me cry. The ending was tragic yet so inspirational. Easily, one of the top three SW movies ever if not the best

Other than the original trilogy Rogue One was one of the best movies that came out of Star Wars.

That blonde girl at the end is fantastic, she's like an emotional canary in a mine. Any doubt how the audience is supposed to feel at a moment, there she is set to 11.

I watched this movie in theatres about a week after Carrie Fisher died. That last scene really hit like a brick.  I miss her so much.

Now everyone's re-watching Rogue One after the conclusion of Andor Season 2!

Heroes are always the ones who are left on the battlefield.  Forever.
