People forget man , Creatine Makhachev developed a calf kick at the age of 34

We gotta accept that Islam may be the most complete fighter ever. He’s good everywhere there’s no glaring hole

We’ve seen fighters get broken but my god I’ve need seen the look on a fighters face like I saw last night. His spirit was completely crushed it looked like he was bout to cry

It's incredible how Makachev keeps adding new weapons to his arsenaland perfects it even at this age -headkick against Volk, and now calf kick against JDM

Craig "23 years in Dagestan" Jones

Just how good is Volk man

I think Islam is truly underrated as a striker as well as the Dagestani team's preparation going into fights. He's an MMA striker firstly. He reads distance very well, he has good kicks, he's clean with his hands, and then he mixes this in with grappling. He was beating Jack on the feet when Jack was coming forward and being aggressive. That speaks volumes. His knees in the MT clinch are also nasty work too. I also think people underrated just how skilled he is on the feet combined with how strong he'd be on the ground, whilst they always knew his skill level.

We're talking about one of the most skilled fighters ever and arguably the GOAT of the sport now.

Funny how Craig Jones didn’t even enter the cage after round 2. He was like “yeah, you’re fckd” 😂

john pork the first UFC fighter ever to possibly get a 6month suspension before his UFC debut

I'll go by what everyone in their camp who sees them daily says, from Javier to Luke to DC to Islam himself, which is that Khabib beats Islam (and everyone else) every time. Every round. Always. Literally never loses a round, no matter how many sparring session they had. Just as Belal says that Islam runs through him every time, Islam freely admits that Khabib is the better grappler between them, and that Khabib never loses. Top control, strength, will, positional undestanding, and, yes, skill. Skills do matter, but the intangibles matter even more, and Khabib owns the intangibles while also possessing the skills. No, he wasn't as good at striking as Islam now is, but he didn't need to be, and he was getting better every camp, by leaps and bounds. Khabib retired at 32 years of age. Islam is now 34 years old. He's had the benefit of a lot of additional camps, including a lot of additional coaching by...Khabib. Had Khabib stuck around longer, we would have seen more. He was getting noticeably better every fight.

Chael Sonnen (of all people) said it best, about Khabib. We never saw how great he truly was. We only saw how much better he was than everyone else.

Volk just went to #1 on Lucas Tracy’s GOAT list. What a performance by Islam, he really is that guy

finally OUR opinion on this fight has dropped

But where does John Pork fit into all this?

I saw somebody say that people spend too much time preparing to survive islam and not beat him, and honestly this fight put that on full display

Islam just tied Anderson Silva's 16 fight win streak record and he did it moving up a weight class. He was 1000% right to move up a weight class. People have been sleeping on how good he is because lw is a mess, and he keeps getting paired with people from featherweight (no disrespect to Volk). GOAT is right.

The post card clarity is hitting hard lads, gonna take a while to recover from this

Islam's gameplan was sooooo effective... Perfect strategy. Wonder how much Khabib had to do with that

We still love you jdm

As a islam's fan, i think the game plan for this fight made it 70% easier and made jdm as helpless as he looked.

People don't realise that you have no need in hating on lost fighter after the fight. They love you while you winning. I'm an Islam fan, but I still love JDM. I still love DDP much more than Chimaev after his loss. What's wrong with these toxic fans? You are not even fans, you are MMA tourists.
