Honestly, it takes until the end of the episode to realize that Kurt's dad was actually just struggling to connect with his son on equal footing and didn’t actually care that he wasnt masculine or that he was gay. He was excited about the football thing because it was something he also did and they could bond over it. Even him asking about the girlfriend thing is probably just a "Are you ready to have this conversation now?". The gap in their relationship was probably due to the lack of his mother and they both seemed unsure on how to bridge it

Yes, that is the actual Single Ladies dance.  Heather Morris (Brittany) was a backup dancer on one of Beyoncé’s tours.

"Did Tina always have a stutter"?  That and goth clothes are her only personality traits for 3 years.

Burt and Kurt are one of my favorite parts of the show. They have such a sweet and supportive relationship even though it takes time to develop.

Puck’s actor really impacts how I see Puck now: there’s a scene in the show where Puck is asked where he’ll be in 10 years. He goes “in jail or dead” and then in real life he offed himself to get out of jail… it’s eerie

Kurt coming out to his dad makes me cry every freaking time. Chris Colfer was amazing in this scene you can literally feel his vulnerability and you hold your breath waiting to see what how Burt will react and the reaction wasn't perfect as you stated but it was very realistic. Burt is one of my favorite tv dads.

I die every time Ken pulls out the chair and Sue never sits down😂

"It's will, he's pregnant"
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fan fic out there with that plot, knowing what the Gleeks have written up in the past

Kurt coming out still makes me cry and it’s been 17 damn years. Burt Hummel we love you.

1:10:06 this conversation hits even harder now with the Cornell shit that’s been coming out

NOTE in the early days of the show, you might notice, they tend to not have the entire song sometimes in the show, but they do have complete studio versions, including for 'Alone'~~~ So, if there's ever one that you feel is cut off and you're wanting more, give it a quick search^.^

Even as a kid when this aired, I couldn’t understand how Quinn was shamed for getting pregnant when she was clearly assaulted. And she’s a child so her brain isn’t going to make the best choices when she decides who to tell and hiding the identity of the dad. It was just very sad. She was clearly written to be mean so they could “punish” her with an unwanted pregnancy.

I wouldn't say that Mercedes is under rated.  I would say that she was severly under utilized.  From my understanding Lea Michelle was a bit more like her character than one may want from a co-star and was very demanding on the number of times she had a solo in comparison to the other cast members.

Some regular universities do have music and fine arts scholarships, but the budget for them tends to be way smaller than academic, hardship, or athletic scholarships

it is actually crazy to think will lived his whole life in Ohio and never met an addict before April lol

33:53 Yes, you can. I dated a guy in high school who got a scholarship for music to a regular university.

Branson is a city in Missouri. Its like retired Las Vegas. They have shows and stuff but at the same time, stuff closes at 10pm, sometimes 9pm.

You're one of the only reactors I've ever seen who actually addressed the fact that Puck got Quinn drunk and took advantage of her vulnerable state, so thank you for that.
Way too many people completely gloss over it and unfortunately so does the show, it's very much a product of its time in that regard. :/
Remember this was pre-MeToo, so it was still even more common to victim blame women and girls for "letting down their guard" by getting drunk, judge them for what they were wearing, etc. than it is today.
But yeah, there was absolutely a lack of enthusiastic consent in that scene and I do believe it probably would get handled differently if the show came out today.

yeah the show isn't really going to show them with mics but when they did live shows (tours) obviously they used mics because it was real life lol
