Metalhead/Jock watches Glee s1 episodes 1-3! TV Show Reaction

Siam, Your Movie Bud

I honestly never thought I was going to watch Glee. But, we've reached the time for my Glee reaction. It's a weird feeling. When I started doing movie and tv show reactions, I knew I'd end up watching a lot of things that I wouldn't have watched otherwise. But, I still didn't think we'd get here lol

As a Gleek, there's no one who loves and hates GLEE as much as the fans... I've watched this show so much growing up and im pretty sure it changed my brain chemistry in some way. Season 1 to about season 3 is the best it will get. Still, for as much as I hate it at times, watching it is a joy and i hope you will find some joy in it too Siam.

In order to survive Glee, Siam, you will want to put on Satire goggles. Satire was the main engine for season 1, though the more people started to care about the characters in later seasons, the overall lens gets murky. It’s still insane beyond the boundaries of satire, but it helps for sure. 😂

Nothing you watched before can prepare you for the ride that glee is. It’s like a car crash you can’t walk away from 😂

Every time you go "oh no, is character doing something for a horrible reason?" the answer is probably yes

as others have said, you have to be ready for the heavy and often cringey satire 😆 (and I don't mean cringey in a bad way)

I don’t think I can put how excited I am for this video into words

55:00 — Quinn’s actress actually provided the vocals for ‘Say A Little Prayer’ but you’re correct that her back-up cheerleaders were completely and hilariously dubbed. Hope this helps!

52:00 when he said your body mimics the symptoms; he wasn't kidding. she DID check; you can get false positives with a hysterical pregnancy

Any other Movie Budz fans that remember the Pitch Perfect reaction where Steph said ''now I wanna watch Glee'' and Siam responded ''Nahhh'' hehe I am glad we get to see a reaction we never thought we would see though. :)

This show is so unserious, except when it’s super serious.

Mercedes is definitely my favorite singer on the show all of her songs are bangers. Amber Riley is just so good.

Fun fact, the original show creator made a very dark comedy script that eventually morphed into Glee, and he pulled influences from his own life growing up in show choir at Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, IL (northwest suburb of Chicago). My dad was an alum there, I went to a different nearby high school in the same division.

Think of this as sarcastic comedy then you'll love it

@aliciaa4859 2 weeks ago

realizing that mercedes is the best singer in episode one is so correct

Just keep in mind this show is camp, not realism. It's also a satirical take on HS. But if you don't understand camp aesthetic, you won't really understand the show.
