When Trying Harder Isn’t the Answer | Excellence vs. Perfection Ep. 4

What if the answer to trying harder isn’t…trying even harder?
In this final episode of Excellence, Not Perfection, we bring our entire journey together with Jesus’ words in John 15:4–5: “Abide in Me.”
We’ve talked about proving ourselves, comparison, weakness, self-sufficiency, and the pressure to keep everything under control. Now we’re asking one final question:
Was I ever meant to do all of this in my own strength?
As we finish our intentionally imperfect accordion journal, we’ll look at the difference between striving and abiding and ask:
What has God actually given me to faithfully do?
What have I put on myself that He never asked me to carry?
💬 Join the conversation: What is one thing you may need to stop carrying—or stop trying to control—as you learn to abide in Christ?
