11:54 They actually originally planned on doing a grade school active shooter scenario, but they changed it to the community college

I find it funny how he immediately knew what Michael did based solely on his appearance.

The Watt Community college level is based on Watt Highschool, which came from the movie Elephant. Probably why the mission is also called "Elephant." Elephant, the movie is based on the Columbine massacre which in turns makes the mission semi-based off of columbine. Void did amazing work with that mission by still paying respect to the victims, while also bringing awareness to the problem that we face even today here in the USA.

READY OR NOT LORE GOES
C R A Z Y
BRO!

If you want to check out more RON lore, there is a series by Shayne, Please Shut Up and it's very good if you want to gleam a bit more light on what's really going on in Los Suenos.

i truly appreciate void for showing true respect to these kinds of situations by NOT watering it down and sugar coating it.

He was the reason I got the game
Worth every cent

that (do you promise) punched me in the heart

This game is so unreasonably good

Also ready or not has some weird things going on lore wise that started since one of the first trailers, basically that besides Los Sueños potentially heading for a almosy cyberpunk dystopian future with a imminent societal collapse (the US as a whole too in the game) in Lethal obsession the guy you are trying to apprehend or neutralize if needed is a former intelligence analyst or officer from Ready or not’s version of the CIA. And basically from his lines and the almost schizophrenic writing and the walls, mentioning something about breaking the cycle and much more, it’s clear some mk ultra shit is happening and that  “Judge” (the officer you play as in commander mode) is also part of this mk ultra esque experiment and may potentially be a sleeper agent especially if hen you consider how he seems able to continue going into these dangerous situations and audibly even when shot at and such it’s almost like he doesn’t have fear and the lethal almost military or spec ops precision he takes out suspects without hesitation…

12:12 they didn't really avoid the controversy though, their publisher actually left them over the release of this mission. And they got a massive backlash (almost exclusively from people that don't play the game) And they had to tone it down a little bit from there.

I really do think they should have leaned the other way and went balls to the wall with it because people are becoming desensitized to tragedy and we tend to feel it more whenever we get put in the first person.

5:45 yeah... essentially he's what ever thinks a discord mod really is XD

As someone who has this game, it's very fun.

I wasn't expecting to see you react to this at all. This was the video that got me to finally buy the game.

0:37 whattttt 😂😂😂

2:14 entirely depends on the armor and the caliber he got hit by. Either way, he wouldn’t be standing like that afterwards. From the angle, he most likely took some glancing blows, so the armor could probably tank even a higher caliber than it was rated for. The perp looked to be carrying an AK pattern weapon, so either 7.62x39 or 5.45x39. 7.62 is heavier and slower, but 5.45 can be an issue due to the speed of the round. Chances are (from me playing the game and seeing the officer’s kit), he’s rocking either ceramics or steel plates rated up to that level, so it’s entirely plausible he can take them. He’s gonna be on the ground catching his breath and in a bit of pain, but he’d be fine. The perp on the other hand…

If only it was on console man 😭 I be watching videos on it almost every day

his crime? Murdering his mom.

Nowadays game manufacturers always release the same thing, no effort, ingame payment, bad story and no attention to details. Ready or not is different.

Disturbing fact: even well trained, seasoned marine and SWAT veterans tried this game in full co-op with their teammates with similar experience in police and army forces. Do they do playthrough efficient? Yes. Does it go smooth for them? F**k no. Even if they got used for the game and have their tactics for different scenarios, shit hit the fan all the time. Not quick enough reaction, not quick/slow enough tempo, not enough grenades picked at the start of operation, not enough people to cover perimeter - and the casualties roll in. And with each picked lock, each cleared room, each corridor it gets tougher and rougher even for people, who trained for this and do this IRL.

This game releases on Xbox and PlayStation in a couple of weeks and I couldn't be more excited! They're leaving it completely uncensored for the console release which is honestly a bit of a blessing because I was expecting them to remove a shit ton of levels for console to make way for Microsoft and Sony's content restriction guidelines!
