This video is legitimately the biggest legacy Toriko will ever have

Fun fact: in Toriko, Toriko has a rule that he must eat anything he kills. This makes this video much worse because it implies he ate all of those civilians he killed

Fun fact: Japan also meme'd Toriko in a similar way by saying "Btw the final chapter of Toriko ends with Toriko going Berserk and then Komatsu cooking him while crying."

I cried for weeks when Toriko screamed "I want to live!" during the landmine arc and reformed his entire body, only to step on another landmine. It was such a rollercoaster of an arc.

My favourite moment in Toriko was when the author, Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, got arrested for violating a child prostetution law after he paid a sixten-year-old 80,000 Yen to sleep with him, only for Toriko to meet up with him instead and throw an active landmine at his feet, killing both Mitsutoshi-san and the teenager in the explosion.

A real hero that Toriko guy.

The funniest thing about this is that Toriko stabbing someone with his fingers and ripping them in half is 100% something that happened

All I know about Toriko is that the only reason we got the Buu saga for Dragon Ball Z Kai is that the anime for Toriko was so unsuccessful that Toei Animation needed anything else to take over it's time slot. And I think that is amazing.

My favorite bit in Toriko was when Toriko progressively lost parts of his body and replaced them, leading to the question of whether or not his body could still even be called Toriko

Salty and friends just made Toriko into the anime/manga version of Morbius lmao

As someone who's read the entirety of Toriko and loved it, Watching Salty just half guess scenes with 70% accuracy was both a trip and a delight.

This reminds me of when OneyPlays completely rewrote Alex Yiik’s character and everybody went along with it.

this reminds me of the Kururin arc where Toriko had to play Kuru kuru Kururin to bring his friend Donbe back from the Shadow Realm after he was blown apart by the landmine

The biggest cliffhanger of the landmine arc was when Toriko's vocal cords scattered into the ocean after the explosion, and we waited through multiple month hiatuses and silent chapters full of perplexing WTT (what the Toriko) moments for him to reunite with them so he could finally speak again. Readers were afraid the series had lost its form

Imagine someone watching this who's really excited to hear you talk about Toriko, and this is how the find out about the author.

Love the arc where Toriko roasts Tanjiro by calling his manga 'Phantom Blood but cringe'

Fun fact:  Kuru is the name of a fatal prion disease of the brain found in a tribe of cannibals in Papua New Guinea.  It causes dementia and loss of control of bodily functions among other things.  It was spread by the tribe's funeral ritual of eating their deceased relatives' brains.  If you play DayZ, you are probably intimately familiar with it.

Toriko Flopped So Hard that Toei decided “ You Know What, let’s bring Back Kai”

I still quote “toriko this toriko that I don’t toriknow what’s going on” it’s so funny

I swear it took me like 8 minutes to finally realize that Toriko is a real character and not just something they made up on the spot as a joke

I watched this entire VOD because for some reason Kuru Kuru Kururin really just hypnotized me, so much to the point where I don't remember them EVER talking about Toriko
