I heard this story from a former Bad Manners musician….They were playing a gig in Europe when Buster enquired as to the whereabouts of the drinks rider that should have been in the dressing room according to contract…The promoter said that the drinks would arrive backstage once they were on stage…A.nonplussed Buster insisted, “My band are not going on stage until they are drunk enough to play properly!l
seen them many times. spent time backstage with the band and Buster. everyone was absolutely lovely. Buster was extremely nice and a treasure of stories.
Great times, these and Madness were my childhood,. .I still play his music today,. I miss those times,.. but I just thank God I was lucky enough to growup in that wonderful time.... cherished memories
Lip up fatty was the first 7” single I ever bought . I can clearly look back to the exact point in time my musical journey began and what a great band to start the journey.
I met him in Camden one night in a live venue…asked him if his tongue was really that long, he then held my head and licked my forehead saying…..what do ya fink now Jock…..hilarious moment 😂
The first record i ever bought was ne ne na na nu nu... I remember going into the shop and asking for ninny nanny what ever its called... And the assistant said, "i know what you mean" and gave me it
The best band I have ever seen! And I've seen them many times. From the first gig I ever attended at 14 years of age in Maysfield Leisure Centre, Belfast, in 1981, to their many Xmas tours in recent years. The atmosphere of real happiness they create is phenomenal.
Good to see Doug...I was one of the 400?...i took over from Alan...The sadly missed Winston Bazoomies...hard shoes to fill as I found out, some great memories playing for them.. And more than a few 'interesting stories'....thanks for the vid 😉
I have met him (only as a fan) a couple of times. He had some connection to some london guy's that used to race stock-cars and banger racing cars at the now gone Wimbledon stadium and Arena Essex in Thurrock (now also gone). Seemed a nice chap willing to talk to people and fans... and yes! He got his arse out both times! while sitting on the roof of the car on the parade laps. lol!
