During the 80's - 4 of the white kids went down the " Oi music and NF route. NEVER saw them again. The rest of us go out regularly to ska/reggae nights to this day. MUSIC keeps us together.

I was a 14 year old skinhead girl in 69 and spotted the lad that would be my first boyfriend in the Gardens in Skegness August Bank Holiday .The gardens were a sea of blue denim because the police had trapped all the lads there and there he was .....with a police Alsatian dog hanging off the back of one of his legs. Love at first sight🤣🤣🤣

The original skins were 2tone, it was Black and White together. It was a multi racial culture of young teenage boys and girls.
The Boneheads came later, the only similarity was the hair cut, even the boots were different, they rarely wore Doc Martins.
Those thugs have nothing to do with Skinheads.
Both sets are poles apart.

Most of this is nonsense, London dockers who shaved their head rolled their trousers held up by bracers above their boots to stop rats running up them, would go to football matches on Saturday afternoon straight from work and they liked nothing more than a bit of bother, the kids started copying them, Skinheads were born.
