The only thing that amazes me is the sheer amount of money that Disney can afford to toss into the fire without learning a single lesson from a decade of failures.

I just choose to not watch or support them. If enough people just say no, they'll change.

There's an old writer's trope: "The genie's strength comes from being in a bottle."

Sad thing is I wanted a She Hulk tv show for so long, I think she was a fun character and I loved that unlike Bruce she embraced what she was.
Instead in the tv series Jen is a narc that sees her powers as an annoyance, all men are dumb, weak, shallow or don't like women, finds the idea of being a Hero cringe and they made the villains of the show internet trolls.
The Crazy part about the real villains is the writers actually thought they won against their critics only for that to be the most embarrassing thing about the show, acknowledging your series is trash doesn't make it better either, it says you never cared about the comic book character.

That overly used trope (with bad writing and portrayal) has reached breaking point level fatigue.

The writers suck. They write these characters as if they are playing a video game with cheat codes on, and thus you don't give a shit. There is no real challenge. No real stakes. You know they are going to give their protags the free path to victory, and thus you can't get invested.

Modern cinema is so bad we're in serious danger of not having theaters anymore.

Every time I see that SheHulk "infinitely more than you" clip I get more angry than her.

Not sure if you’re still using the She Hulk twerking clip, so I only ever listen to these videos in the background just to be safe, that clip is an insult and a punishment to faithful viewers of this channel and gives power to the writers of that show.  Having said that, great take in this video.  I’m a straight white male and apparently I’m not allowed to have an opinion about anything these days, especially about girl boss culture, so I’m glad someone can say out loud the things I’m thinking.  You had it spot on here.

Haven't seen you in awhile; delighted you're still here.  I no longer bother with most American movies with their girl boss/emasculated male agenda.  Europe and Asia have scads of movies with fascinating, strong female characters that do not lose characteristics that make them uniquely female.

It’s been said in the comics that RiRi Williams is in fact, a villian

The part I'm always tripping about is that women don't show up to support these. It's men that do. And what do men get for it? Completely bashed

I remembered seeing the preview for Thor Love and Thunder with Natalie Portman as the new Thor in theater years ago. A little boy in the audience asked his mom in a very puzzled tone "Is that the new Thor?".
Mom answered with a very unimpressed "I hope not". I had a hard time not laughing out loud!

1:25 I absolutely hate that scene where Jen has the nerve and audacity to be a total arse to Bruce and thinks she has more experience controlling her anger everyday. Puh-lease! 🙄 What a total self obsessed jerk she is! She has no idea how difficult Bruce's life has been.

Funny thing is that if people decided to go back and watch Xena: Warrior Princess they´d find a very well rounded character.

For instance, even though she was an incredible fighter there were times that she chose to use her female charms to take down some men because it was more practical that just kicking their asses.

“Friendly fire will not be tolerated”

I just don’t watch. I’m tired of the virtue signalling and more tired of basically being told I’m a terrible person for being a straight man. I have no hate for anyone and I’m getting tired of everyone telling me that I dislike this person or that person. I do NOT care what you identify as or who you sleep with and what the color of your skin is. I’ve never cared for any of that. If you’re a good person, I’m in so stop telling me I’m sexist and racist, etc.

The girlboss started during endgame with the catwalk scene. Imagine this happening at the battle of gondor in lotr 😂😂

Tony was a compelling story because he had so much to improve about himself. It’s relatable to want to be better, to shed selfishness.
Modern characters endure an opposite arc. They’re already great. It’s just up to everyone around them to accept that. People who think like this put themselves first. The is not an admirable pursuit to have nor does it make a good story.

It makes it very easy to decide what show NOT TO WATCH
If it shows a few red flags, don't watch it...
Instead dig in your DVD collection and enjoy good stuff.
