Some so-called denial is actually obstinacy, a stubborn refusal to accept a reality that challenges a person to change and grow. Another kind of denial is simly lying, for manipulative or other nefarious purpose.

Thank you for your clear explanation of a not so clear phenomenon.
Further, it's so ensuring to know that somebody understand what you have been subjected to.
Also, character disturbance is taking over the planet and I think everybody is in dinal because the capacity to do something about it requires a fortitude which systematically was brought to a verge of extinction; very unfortunate for humanity and for those who will come next.

Accepting a reality is not the same thing as being able to do much about it. Like the 2 realities called both death and the ability of only our closest relatives to read the emotions in our facial expressions.
