On October 2, 2026, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Press Club hosted a press conference by the Tokyo Metropolitan Communist Party's Chiyoda District Committee for Masaaki Kimura (former Chiyoda Ward Assembly member), who is planning to run in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly by-election (Chiyoda Ward, official announcement on October 23, voting on November 1).

This video is a recording of that press conference.
