Simo is so awesome that he was born before the USSR and died AFTER the USSR collapsed. Man had a front row seat to the greatest Greek tragedy of all time, in real time. Legend. 🤣

5:20 The fact that Simo learned to make his own ammunition likely ment that he had ammunition of a much higher grade than the average finnish infantryman. General issue ammunition tends to be produced to a standard of "good enough" or sometimes even "quite poor" depending on the circumstance but for marksmanship consistent powder loads plays a huge role.

Honestly you should watch more Fat Electrician, his content is absolute S Tier

(Also he brings guns into the ads because they’re technically a tax write off)

Oh, I imagine he was definitely mad about losing the farm. Bet he woke up and thought “You gave up my farm?! Nah, let me back at em. I can take em.”

Don't mess with Finland.  They actually managed to weaponize polka music against russia once.

Me: ☹
Phero: "Hello Darling! ....... Are You ready? Let's Go!"
Me: 😊

The skit where his wife came in with the gun is a little bit of theme he does. Its to make all his gun purchases business expenses since he is using them for his business.

Phero if you don't care for his military history channel he also has a second channel where he goes over the most profitable/impressive/hilarious businesses and their business models like Chick-fil-A, Arizona Tea,  The Government Cheese Caves , Lil Caesars, Taco Bell, Costco, Starbucks and many more. The Fat Electrician is honestly one of my all time favorite content creators/ communicators on this entire platform. I can't recommend his channels to people enough.

Edit: THE CHEESE

Phero found everyone's favorite chubby electron guy?! Yes! Please watch more

Edit: 32:20 Nic does FAR more than just war history, check out the fat files for his vids on different companies and their wild stories

There is a reason why this gigachad was featured in Record of Ragnarök as one of the human heroes. And spoilers:

he won, against Loki. Sniped his ahh with 100% accuracy.

Russians still fear him. what a mad lad. sup phero

My favorite part of this story is that he actually lived longer than the Soviet Union was a thing. He was born before it existed, and he lived 'til after it didn't. There's something very "poetic revenge" about that that just gets me in my happy places (in my brain, not elsewhere... okay, maybe a little elsewhere, can you blame me?)

I LOVE when vtubers react to the fat electrician! Please do more!

Not everyone is a history buff and that's perfectly valid, but consider the following:

You shouldn't view these videos as a "history lesson", but instead view them as a "story" about an individual's life that just so happen to be military related. Some of these stories are absolutely insane and I do think they make for good listening even if you don't want to learn about history.

31:20 In Finland we still joke about getting karelia back, but in reality soviets turned the whole area into a shithole. Getting the land back would be like having a new car get stolen and when you get it back it is wrecked and costs more to fix than it was to buy.

Simo: dutifully serves in the Finnish military, honored war hero, MVP of the entire goddamn army, took a war crime to the face and lived, doesn't even get to keep his family farm

the dorks handing out awards: but what have you done for me lately?

"you're in the snipers sight, the first kill tonight!!"

Ain’t nothing wrong with not caring for history. I don’t care for it myself, but I will admit that I love hearing these stories from him. He always makes it really interesting and funny, while still telling it educationally. I always love watching other people react to these videos. Thanks for sharing such a fun one.

As insane as this story is, it doesn't even cover all of the crazy stuff that Simo accomplished.  There has never been a clearer example of a human being who embodied the pure warrior spirit than Simo.  He wasn't glory-seeking.  He didn't particularly enjoy killing.  It was his duty, and he treated it like it was his job.  Every single day, he was out "hunting" and was so prolific at it that the ENEMY gave him a nickname.  One of the largest, most powerful militaries on the planet at that time was in such fear of a single 5 ft tall man, that they had to give him a nickname as a warning to their own soldiers.

TFE explained his marksmanship accuracy, but I think it's difficult for anyone who isn't familiar with guns and those ranged to understand just how superhumanly accurate those feats were.  Even people who specifically train to shoot that accurately with his exact setup can't consistently repeat what he did - and those are people in comfortable conditions.  They aren't laying out in the snow in below freezing temperatures or with enemies potentially firing back at them.

Simo was wired differently.  He was like a savant for marksmanship and is now basically the patron saint for all snipers.

□Oh F~ yeah!, This is a good one!! LFG!□❤️‍🔥
