The "Your wife, and her boyfriend" line is pure poetry 👌

Army E4: We must smuggle dog, he is one of us.
Navy E4: Fuck yeah!

Fat Electrician is a better history teacher than 99% of professional teachers.

This might make you sad but there was also a Canadian war hero dog named Gander who sacrificed himself to protect his men. In the Battle of Hong Kong in 1941 a Japanese soldier threw a grenade at some wounded Canadian soldiers. Gander grabbed the grenade and ran it back at the Japanese, saving many wounded men and killing several enemies, but tragically died in the explosion.

Shout out to Sinbad, the Coast Guard's war dog from WW2. Another goodest boy.

If the dude who took the awards from chips was alive today he would be a reddit mod.

Nick is by far one of the best story tellers out there when it comes to history and I appreciate it. I've learned more from him than when I was in school.

Zimmerman coming out confirming Brtain's intercepted message is like Count Olaf saying "No, that part is true actually".

I see a fence with a sign, "Beware of Guard Dog", and if that guard dog looks like it wants to say hi, I'm taking my chances. 🐕

We must learn the name of the guy taking away medals and shame him and his lineage

Cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!

13:50 there's another dog from WWI taken in by a different unit, Rags; he would alert his unit to incoming artillery strikes by taking cover and covering his head as best he could long before anyone on his unit could even hear the shells.
The story about Stubby being injured by gas may be people confusing him with Rags, as Rags was actually injured by gas, being more used to general artillery strikes.

I imagine the guy who got Chips' medals revoked looked like Twig Boy from King of the Hill.

10:18 it's probably the best stereotype ever. My step dad is your average bald white man with fully tattooed arms and legs, rides motorcycles, was a drummer back in the day, does manual labor for a living, and you wanna know what his favorite dog breed is? A YORKIE. he had a Yorkie named Spike, as a kid, and, by god, I've never heard him say a single bad thing about that dog.

Chips the War Dog was one of my favorite movies as a kid.

It's a terrible day for rain.

Dogs are currently trained and used for patrol, tracking and detection, and are deployed with a handler. Those that survive to retire are eligible for adoption, with their handler getting top priority for selection process.
