Would have been great if GW had talked this openly about a year before Sigmar happened.

Leonardo da Miragliano was the guy who made the Imperial Steam Tanks if I remember right

This channel is supremely underrated, you guys do such a great job.

Glad Peachy mentioned the specialist games being helmed by passionate people. Andy Hoare's Necromunda is the best the game has ever been, IMHO. He and the team have added so much detail to the world and narrative, and current Necromunda models are among the best 40k minis ever produced. It's peak 40k in all its wonderful, horrible weirdness. I love it so much, and it's great to see him getting the shout out. Well-deserved.

"Where were you?"

Well when 8th fantasy you needed 200 models for a 2k army, where do you think? Impossible to keep up with the demands of that system, especially after hordes were introduced

I was QW employee at the time of the change over, and one of the biggest problems WHFB faced was the price of entry, because of the amount of troops needed you could easily have two 40k armies for the cost of a basic WHFB army. The other was time between updates (13 years between wood elf books), and the inability to write a balanced book (stupid damn Skaven). But after all said WHFB is still the most tactical game the GW has put out

Nice! Something to listen to later whilst painting.

Loving these longer format chats.

The lore behind Cadia is very interesting, between their violet eyes and their spread through the galaxy, it was all most likely planned that way from the start.

My old game store was a rare gem. We played just as much WFB if not more than 40K. No one played LotR. But it was an amazing time to grow up in gaming :)

I started in 6th Ed 40K, but that’s all people played. As soon as the AoS first box came out I was on board. Best Warhammer decision I made. I’ve been involved since the beginning and have watched the game a lore grow. AOS is fantastic

Vey nice conversation. As someone who got started in WHFB in 1998-1999,  it was sad to see it end. I am happy to see and hear this perspective. Even listening to the conversation, hearing Volkmar is dead I'm like, "NOOOOOOOOOO! He was great!"  I mean sad unhappy,  but story movement happy.

Its a shame how the brets werent explored, i distinctly remember talking tona forge world staffer about how he wouldve loved to make a Living and walking Grail Chapel

I almost spit out my cuppa at 'those End Times books were so well-written'.

"Anyone who's a resin character is going to get killed off" Oh Aun'va no!

This Honest and reasonable discussion has really helped to lower my sodium levels.

I wish GW were able to just explain desicions in such a manner.

13:05 it was like that at my shop back then . 40k was by far the most popular, you could get any size game so easy. Very few people played for fantasy and they were always 2k plus so that was a big barrier to entry where most of 40k players played 750pts

I remember the really old chaos warrior with the double axe
That's what got me into GW

Never knew why they didn’t finish all the army books for the final edition of WHFB and then move the range to ‘made to order’ or to forge world. It would have prevented so much angst, GW would still have made money from the old moulds and there wouldn’t have been so much hostility to AoS?

Love these chats. Perfect background noise to hobby along with. Cheers 👏🏼

Great video. I love watching / listening to these chats while I’m painting minis. Peachy’s history / experience at GW is so interesting. Thanks for these awesome videos guys.
