The Shareholders

Just corpo slop at this point.

I wonder if I wore some certain sunglasses these pair would look like aliens 😂

Modern GW is doing to Warhammer what Disney did to Star Wars.

Unlike Disney buying up Lucasfilm, GW is the same company which has always owned the IP... on paper. In practice, GW is a Ship of Theseus, and nothing of the original company remains besides the bare foundations the headquarters sits on.

"I watched a midwinter minis video"
First mistake there.

They've turned it into a "life style brand" so they can sell you more junk.

Made for shareholders, by marketing team, by not fans for not fans. Soulless, passionless, corporate slop.

12:38 This whole animation felt like a soulless parody of Space King, they couldn't sue Flashgitz for it or hire them to force it to be enshittified so they're just doing their own version of it without understanding why people like Space King.

I hate the smug and insufferable approach they have. "Quirky millennial" approach is ruining everything. I was watching Warlord Games' employees just nerd out and talk about their armies and it's such a breath of fresh air after Games Workshop's artificial and manufactured crap.

the whole of GW is ran by the marketing team at this point clearly, even the game designers, the reversal of the space marine points adjustments kinda just proved that imo

You don't know?

Warhammer is for everyone!

For context: Warlord Games just released a video of John Stallard talking at length with genuine pride about the history and rules for their Rorke's drift box.

I don't understand why you're calling gw minis a luxury item, they're not. They just happen to be expensive.

Justified Crash Out. Exposure to the live stream bums and their incompetence at any point is a violation of my human rights. I hate we they do stream prep on the show, I hate when they don't answer questions, I hate when their non-answers are the same drilled response over and over again (a clear sign of overtraining or even ideological indoctrination), I hate their voices, I hate the format. I hate.

I totally forgot that this was happening today, was too busy with a small stained glass project with my dad 😂.

Warhammer as offered by GW is just a lifestyle thing now. They wanted this, to monetize the IP as much as possible. They can milk the whales while drawing in normies with funko pop like branding. It's no longer about the hobbyists; it is about squeezing the guillible. They crafted this new "audience" and care nothing for the people who brought them this far.

Print, recast, play older editions. When their new audience finally turns on them because they don't support the latest cause; they will hear the mocking laughter of all those they threw aside.

I have just about 45k points of armies between heresy and 40k.

I have already sold 5k points worth of demons and eldar.  I'm about to sell 15k points of mechanicum, and 2 warhounds.

I'm selling all my guard of 10k.

I'm minimizing down to bare minimum of minotuars at 5k.  Alpha legion of 5k.  Mechanicum at 5k.  Solar at 5k.  That's it.

I'm selling roughly $12k of Warhammer because I'm all but done with them.

Guys, who remembers the bald one playing with Matt Ward in 6ed rulebook introduction?

Oh man its those 2 goobers again 😂

What im sick of is how many foolish people cant recognize the outrageous long list of issues and either refuse to acknowledge it or don't care. But then again...GW has done well in advertising themselves as a premium company (they are not). Gold plating a turd.

"So uh, will Devastators come back at new scale, or are they just gone?"

"Good question. May I interest you in our new Tone Pro (trademark) paints? They're perfect for painting your brand new Desolation Squad (trademark)."

"... but I don't like the desolation marines, nobody does, I want devastators bac-"

"They're even compatible with these here data cards. Don't you love data cards? Don't you just LOVE how we put these cards you'll never use in every single big box set? Isn't that just super exciting?!"
