Customer reached out after watching the channel and wanted me to come out and give his SsangYong Musso a proper service and check over.

These utes get a pretty bad reputation, so while I was there I went through everything properly — engine oil, filters, gearbox oil, transfer case, and a full once-over — and showed what they’re actually like to work on in the real world.

No fluff, just honest mechanic life and what I found along the way.

Hopefully this helps anyone thinking about owning or working on one of these.

Great video, I highly recommend Ssang Yong / KGM. If I was going to buy a dual cab I wouldn't hesitate getting a Musso, been eyeing them off for years, though my needs required an SUV and I'm now the proud owner of a Torres. There is so much pride in the se cars, and you feel it when you drive them. Built incredibly well. Let's keep the brand up and thriving.

Popped the bonnet on my new Rexton (same engine) and could not believe the access to everything! Even the serpentine belt is accessible... Great cars.

Daughter just bought Actyon with 1.5 litre petrol. Same super access to all the stuff. Engineers that plan the design properly. Never seen that with any other brand. 😊

I highly recommend anyone bleeding or flushing brakes gets Andrews one man bleeder . Definitely the best one I've ever seen. Actually cheap considering how many useless ones I've bought from the shops. This ones a beauty, one way valve is fantastic. 2 day post as well. Makes the job a pleasure to do instead of being a pain in the ass.

Going by how clean the vehicle was underneath it's a fair bet that it's never been off road so the front diff has probably done no work at all. I've heard good things about these, Aisin transmissions, Borg Warner transfer case, Bosch electrics etc. and it looks like thought was used in the layout and ease of access to serviceable parts. I like it.

Manufacturer 15K service intervals bothered me when I bought new car. I can't help feeling that they want the car to last until the warranty expires and not a minute longer. 15K for a diesel is super-sus.

Have 2 diesel’s Nt Pajero and mr triton change fuel filters every 15km . They always look as bad as that one . Adelaide metro fuel. Another great episode.

To be fair i here both side.

People saying 15k to far and they do 5 10k .

But then theres people who do 20k (i have done) or not at all.

I do what manufacture says 15k normally.

Did every 20k on a 12 plus year old jeep past 200k with the penrite enviro tho..
