After the failure of their 2000 album “Warning,” Green Day spent the next four years planning on how to follow it up. Despite challenges such as competition from within their transforming genre, lack of commercial appeal, and even an entire planned album being scrapped. The band struck back in 2004 with their colossal comeback album “American idiot.” Singlehandedly reinventing who they were for a new generation, and saving Green Day from potential implosion. In this video we not only take a look into the long creative journey that got them to that massive success, but also the story told within the album itself.

0:00 (or 0:01 for mobile users) - I misspelled the word "grief," I put the e before the i.
56:35 - The order of events here is wrong. Bilheimer designed the cover because of that lyric, not the other way around.
