A £7 bottle of head gasket sealer… and I ended up needing a new electric water pump! 🤦♂️
I added K-Seal to the coolant in my VW Transporter, hoping to seal any leaks in the head gasket. What seemed like a cheap fix ended up giving me another problem to sort out.
The coil warning light started appearing on the dash when I turned the ignition on. Restarting the engine a couple of times would make it disappear, but the fault kept coming back—and the electric water pump was working one minute and stopping the next.
In this video, I show you how I replaced the faulty pump, then open up the old one so you can see the buildup that had clogged it up. Just look at the mess inside!
