they did this video after Johnny Cash died, so all these artists are paying their respects to the man in black!
Much Love 💗

The video was made after Johnny Cash passed away . All of the ppl in the video asked to be involved because they admired Cash

Such a great song and a great video of celebrities paying homage to Johnny.

and yes, Johnny Depp really plays the guitar 😂

Great reaction, great personality & attitude, happy 4th of July from Lake Norman, NC

Here's a list of the celebrities in the video: David Allan Coe, Patricia Arquette, Travis Barker, Peter Blake, Bono, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Depp, the Dixie Chicks (now known as The Chicks), Flea, Billy Gibbons, Whoopi Goldberg, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Hopper, Terrence Howard, Jay-Z, Mick Jones, Kid Rock, Anthony Kiedis, Kris Kristofferson, Amy Lee, Tommy Lee, Adam Levine, Shelby Lynne, Chris Martin, Kate Moss, Graham Nash, Iggy Pop, Lisa Marie Presley, Q-Tip, Corinne Bailey Rae, Keith Richards, Chris Rock, Rick Rubin, Patti Smith, Sharon Stone, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Brian Wilson, and Owen Wilson.[29]

The song says you can run on for a long time but sooner or later God will cut you down. And the whole video is full of movie stars and actors and rock stars. What kind of lifestyle do those people usually have in general? They are wild and put their selves in an early grave. Like Johnny Cash did. The whole point is having these famous people singing this song because they know they’re singing and they know God‘s gonna catch up with them just like he did with Johnny. None of us get out of this alive. I had nothing to do with a Diddy party. It’s about the rich and famous living in the excesses of life and against God. And they know they are., We all try every day knowing we’re sinning, to do better.

People in the video: David Allan Coe, Patricia Arquette, Travis Barker, Peter Blake, Bono, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Depp, the Dixie Chicks (now known as The Chicks), Flea, Billy Gibbons, Whoopi Goldberg, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Hopper, Terrence Howard, Jay-Z, Mick Jones, Kid Rock, Anthony Kiedis, Kris Kristofferson, Amy Lee, Tommy Lee, Adam Levine, Shelby Lynne, Chris Martin, Kate Moss, Graham Nash, Iggy Pop, Lisa Marie Presley, Q-Tip, Corinne Bailey Rae, Keith Richards, Chris Rock, Rick Rubin, Patti Smith, Sharon Stone, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Brian Wilson, and Owen Wilson.

I truly mean this, revisit this song with the knowledge that you may have gained from recent events in the news cycle that has been going on for decades, and tap in to the word of God my brother.

No Diddy situation

First: every artist and personality in the video is iconic in his or her own right.

Second: obviously, they span generations, genres, racial boundaries, and art forms.  It is meant to demonstrate the universality of the message.

Third: The video is an homage and a salute to Johnny, his life and the music he gave to us.

Fourth: Johnny was a deeply religious man, who made no excuses for his flaws and shortcomings.  He had little time or patience for sanctimony.  He argued that he had faith precisely BECAUSE he had flaws.  His profession of faith did not erase the damage and pain that his flaws caused.  His was a faith born of humility, not of a sense of moral superiority.

Fifth: This song should be played on a continuous loop in front of the White House and the Capitol Building, complete with crowds standing vigil...  At least until those monsters get the message.

Johnny was already dead when this was released. Sort of why he was not in the video. Not sure if it was recorded before or after Hurt.

Even though a lot of these artists aren’t Christians, they knew that Johnny Cash was without a doubt a Christian with a battered and sometimes sinful past. But I believe that he was salvaged by the grace of God and you can tell that in his song HURT as well. Just some famous artists that share mutual respect for the legend.

He’s telling these people they can’t run from God. You can’t be blind. They are not following God  dude.

You were talking thru the whole thing..maybe research it...??😐
