Black Man’s First Time Hearing The Animals “House Of The Rising Sun”… and I was NOT ready for how dark this song felt.

This track sounded haunted.
The storytelling, the vocals, the atmosphere — everything felt real.

I’m starting to realize why classic rock has lasted generations. These songs weren’t just music… they painted pictures.

No auto voice correcting, that is HIS voice.

I’m very old. I am thrilled that the music from my time is resurfacing and being appreciated.

Eric Burdon was only 23 years old when he recorded this vocal - I find that quite astounding.

Before auto tune. This is what real singing sounds like

Hearing something like this makes you realize just how far down music has fallen since the days when music was real and created by truly talented people.

A lot of older songs and music was born from deep emotions, pain, suffering, laughter, joy. That is why music was so good back then. I don't listen to very much music today.

This singer is 84 years young & still singing his butt off with the current Animals lineup.

They recorded this song in one take too so what you are hearing is literally recorded on the first try and that's why it's so raw and powerful. Eric has such a powerful voice and that keyboard solo is great.

I'm 70 and this is the music that I grew up with. Still love it as much as I did then and have always felt lucky to grow up in 60s with the best music. Makes me happy to see young folk discover it for the first time. 🤗
