Whoever makes a rocky Halloween costume to sell is going to make billions

Most people I know have at minimum teared up; I, however, outright cried during several scenes (starting with his eulogy/burial in space, despite knowing nothing about his shipmates, except one-second flashes of them in flashbacks). Crying during this movie, whether you're sad or happy, just makes me know you're a human.

"he had to have signed up for this" 2:21 Yeah... about that.

Man, I cried FIVE separate times when I saw this movie in IMAX, and I don’t cry easy. It’s just an amazing story.

I am a vet with two tours in Iraq. If you don't get at least a little teary in this movie you are feeling it.

The book or unabridged audio book are 100% worth it.
Rocky’s species lives almost a century, and Rocky has been at Tau Ceti for 40 years, meaning he has been there alone since before Grace was born.

The voice of Rocky is actually the voice of Rocky's puppeteer!

We need a shirt that has Rocky saying “Yo Adrian, I did it!” (He saved the world, also a reference to Rocky 2 movie)

4:03 James Ortiz (the voice and lead puppeteer for Rocky) plays the TV interviewer in the flashback.

Gosling heard her singing in her room on the boat and wanted her to sing and she picked the song.

This movie is so wonderful in every way.

Rocky communicates (as well as seeing and hearing) by vibrating his exterior, and "hearing" on those blue patches on his limbs.

Funny you should mention it because everyone online wants that sweater apparently. It's crazy how many people love it.

By the end of the movie, about 24 years passed on year, while we don't know how many years passed for Grace. This is because, the closer you get to the speed of light, the slower time moves for you, as the traveler. While time on Earth passed at the normal rate. But assuming that it took the same amount of time to travel to Rocky's planet, about 9 years would have passed for Grace. That's because, by the end of the movie, they had received the probes.
