24:20 - seriously! you don't appreciate how much quieter EVs are until you are walking along a busy Chinese street with stop and go traffic and you notice how much less noisy it is...

Donnie's War of Choice is doing more to push EVs then anything else....  😀

15:17  what? You can absolutely specify a tethered cable when you order a home charger. I’ve had two and both had a tethered cable.

A bit shocked that Robert got that one so wrong.

We have 4 Evs in our house hold, total annual mileage combined is 46000 and we’re saving £8200 on diesel and paying an annual cost of £500 of electricity, massive savings

19:30 in Ethiopia, new and used petrol and diesel vehicles cannot be imported. They can be assembled in Ethiopia from parts, but only electric vehicles can be imported "whole".

Thanks Robert. Nice discussion!

Got my Leapmotor c10 this month!

Brilliant pod cast Robert 👏 really interesting 👍

I was able to use the federal tax credit and Colorado state tax credit which enabled me to get a Rivian R1S two years ago, and so glad I did! We also still have a 2014 bmw i3, now over 140k miles on it and the rex engine almost never gets used.

Ordered my first EV in July. Moving to an area that has high fuel and low electricity prices. With the rise in fuel costs, I'd have paid over double per litre.

I miss Imogen

Home charger with tethered cable is the standard here in North America.

Always nice with sympathetic and knowledgeable faces on the screen...

I love you for all you do ❤

The cells and modules for the Renault 5 are produced in gigafactories in northern France, with much of the production equipment and expertise originating from Asia (China/Japan).

Let’s talk about PHEVs. . One thing that needs emphasising, you will save a lot of money by home charging, but wha5 is the best way? Buying a smart trickle charger, not a wall charger. Even if you need an outside socket rated at 13 amp continuous to be installed, you will fully charge many PHEVs in 4 or 5 hours. It’s needlessly expensive installing a wall charger for many PHEV users and for that matter, low annual mileage BEV owners. Why pay £1000 when you can pay £109 to achieve the same thing.

Just bought a new Jaercoo J5 EV in Australia (finally) as fuel instability no joke + all the other benefits it was a no brainier.

We are off-grid solar in the American Southwest and installed a level 2, 240-volt charger for our 2022 Tesla Model Y ev.   The level 1, 110-volt charger that came with the Tesla is a back-up for the level 2 charger, but we chose to get a level 2 so we could get the most of our charging while the sun is shining.  We want our home LFP batteries charged up by our solar panels before sunset so we don't charge after sunset and run our home batteries down.  We use Tesla's supercharging network when on road trips.  Life is good.  We hope others can also experience the joys of ev driving that we love.  P.S.:  The purchase of ev's here in the U.S. has slowed.  If we had good ev buying choices beyond expensive Teslas that have Elon Musk's name attached to it, ev sales would be higher.  Incentives help, but many Americans are waiting for Chinese ev's to be allowed in. Then watch the sales skyrocket.

I have been enjoyed, so thank you for sharing.

PS Robbert. Our home charger has a fixed cable. And the cable to charge my Ioniq 5 is also still wrapped because i only charge my car at home or at (very rarely)  Fastnet.
