This year, JR Freight's legendary EF66-27 locomotive finally comes to an end after nearly half a century of service.
Following on from our previous article, in which we asked the Suita Locomotive Depot chief about the locomotive, affectionately known as "Nina,"
this time, we were invited into the driver's seat to ask him all sorts of questions.
Starting on the 20th, the Kyoto Railway Museum will also be hosting a special exhibition of this popular locomotive.

夜は車窓を覗いても真っ暗闇なのがちょっとね！
車掌さんが回って来て広島駅は朝6時に到着しますから5時半にお越しに来ますね！と車掌さんがドアをノックして起こしてくれたのを今でも鮮明に覚えてます。旅の醍醐味は新幹線よりもブルートレインでゆっくり揺られて行くのは最初で最後の旅でした。ブルートレインが廃止されて本当に残念で断腸の思いで辛かったです。
