The special freight train on the Sekihoku Main Line, featured in the cover story of "J-Train" Vol. 101, is documented here with footage from both the driver's cab and the outside, showing the container loading and unloading of train 8076 from its departure from Kitami to its arrival at Kita-Asahikawa. As its nickname, the "Onion Train," suggests, the cargo is mostly onions. Also included is a glimpse into the onion shipment process at the JA Kitami-Rai sorting and collection facility in Ainai.
