I'm retired Air Force and was roomed with an Army dog trainer.  No one loved his job as much as him.

My Malinois is 11 years old and jumps a 6 foot fence as if it's nothing. Simply the best.

13 years as a military handler.  I retired a few years back and now I’m a contract handler for venue events.  Nothing beats working a dog.

I'm retired law enforcement K-9 Handler & Master Trainer. Had Dobermans, GSDs & Labs in service.  Recently adopted a rescue Malionois. First day I knew why this dog was at the shelter. Too much dog at 14 weeks of age. He was a Maligator. 1 year later he is a super K-9. So glad I found him and was able to train him into an awesome companion 😏🤗🐊

we adopted a puppy from the shelter. they said she was a german shepherd mix. turns out, she is a malinois. four years later, I’m in the best shape of my life (in my late 50s) keeping her busy and entertained. she loves everyone, great with all people and animals, and she lets the cat sleep in her bed. she is such an awesome dog.

As a military dog handler- your dog is as deadly as you are! You're a team! You cannot have one without the other!

military dogs are a force multiplier and they have saved so many of our servicemembers. they're not given enough credit for what they do.

My chocolate lab is sitting on the couch next to me. He looked at me and I looked at him. Neither of us said a word.

My german shepherd is currently hiding in the laundry room because i shut a door too loud and he thought it was thunder.

My pit/husky mix is currently barking at an empty laundry bottle near the recycling bin. Life is good.

The difference between a pet and a working dog is huge.

These dogs don't dodge draft, they fight. They are real heroes.

God bless our war fighters, special operators, and their doggos. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💪🏻💪🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My German Shepherd is passed out by the front door farting from some pepperoni I gave him earlier...

"Man's best friend" goes way beyond emotional support.

Belgian Malanois are my favorite dog breed.  To watch them train and work is such a mind blowing, amazing, experience.

I have a 3 year old Doberman. He’s balls up snoring on the couch. I woke him up and said “your ancestors used to search tunnels in WW2 and you’re here drooling on my couch”

We adopted a "German Shepherd" puppy from the No Kill Shelter near our home. He was a lovable little furball and was my absolute shadow. We named him Butch, my oldest brother's family nickname, who was killed at 18. My Dad made sure that we started training classes immediately,  because he was going to be a big dog, it was clear. However, the training classes were set up in groups, and arranged by a large pet store chain. (That was our mistake, however.) He learned very quickly and followed commands well. As he got bigger, he lost all of his fluffiness,  his coat became more sleek, and his coloring darkened some. One day, playing frisbee in the backyard with my Dad and Butch, my Dad raised his voice at me. It wasn't in anger, it was in frustration that I sucked (and still fo at age 70) throwing a frisbee. Butch raised his hackles and came and sat right at my feet, a protective mode we had been taught. It was out of character for him to do that when it was my Dad. Then one afternoon,  again in the backyard, we were tossing a softball back and forth. I was a tomboy! My Dad and I were horsing around and he ran up, pretending to get to base before me. Butch went at him, grabbed his arm, and wouldn't let go. Luckily he had a pretty thick jacket on, but still needed 5 stitches on one of the wounds. Butch thought he was protecting me, but my Dad said I couldn't keep him. Bess Truman's head of Secret Service lived behind us and said he knew a guy that might take him. The guy trained dogs for the military, SWAT, etc. The minute he cane to see him, he said he was a Shepherd/Malinois mix, and that once he had bit someone, he'd do it again, much like your guest explained. He took him, and it broke my heart! I didn't talk to my Dad for weeks, being a stubborn redheaded kid, but now I've learned so much more about the breed. They are amazing dogs, but if you are getting one as a personal pet/family dog, you need to go to a real professional trainer to do one on one training. They are as dangerous as they are brilliant. They're not your average pet. They are bred to work, and even mixed with Shepherds, another working dog, their Malinois will kick in! I still miss that goodest boy to this day!

My golden retriever just looked at me.  I looked at him.

We just nodded.

Basically a well trained Velociraptor in dog form 👍.
