Fun fact: the original Odyssey was a poem. It could be sung. It was ALWAYS a musical

@telenabaird606 11 months ago

"I love musical callbacks!"

I was then shot 47 times.

6:10 “I love Polites” famous last words of an Epic viewer.

@Kickerofthetar 11 months ago

Something I really love about EPIC is how every antagonist throughout Odysseus' journey is humanized in some way--Scylla does what she does to survive, Poseidon is a hurting father, the Cyclops is avenging his fallen friend, etc.--except for the one human antagonist: Antinous. So all the monsters are more human the the most monstrous human (ignoring Odysseus himself).

"He's married, Eurylochus"
I wonder if she knows that bro was also married to Odysseus's sister 😭

@Spectralyzed 11 months ago (edited)

Beginning: "I love musical callbacks!"
Not even halfway through: "Stop with the musical callbacks, I can't handle it any more-"

Unbelievably relatable.

@KitkatElise 11 months ago

Also the smugness when you thought Eurylocus is about to reveal his love to the horror of him revealing he opened the wind bag was glorious. XD

35:40 Is a direct parralel to later on! Odysseus in this scene is essentially asking Posiedon if its possible to forgive someone for hurting your son[Polyphemus/The Cyclops is Poseiedons son], and Posiedon answers him that its not! So when Odysseus faces the suitors and they ask for forgiveness/mercy, he refuses them it

@IdkWhatToPutHere9820 11 months ago

2 not so fun facts Jorge the creator had his mom play Odysseus’s mom and polites’s voice becomes fainter each time it plays because Odysseus is forgetting his voice

@megaboy767 11 months ago (edited)

13:04 They're actually Brothers-in-law. Eurylochus is married to Odysseus' sister.

Also, Jorge confirmed that the Souls in the Underworld sing their last thought when they died. So Polites died while still believing in Open Arms, and Momdysseus died while thinking of him.

Also also, the gods have the power to bring anyone's voice who isn't on the scene.

Im not sorry for traumatizing you 🫶

@kuya_ichi.6787 11 months ago

Mikaila: why do you guys traumatise me

Us: it builds character, but it's good right?

@kennethleng 8 months ago

Not-so-fun fact: as Odysseus’s journey progressed, every time Open Arms plays with Polite’s voice, he got quieter and quieter because Odysseus gradually forgot what he sounded like! ❤

@LeoValdezStan 11 months ago

Mikaila: he won't kill a baby right
Danny Motta: KILL THE BABY!!

@lizagrodze9832 11 months ago

Eurylochus "I have something that i must confess"
Mikaila "He's in love"
Me "demented cackling in the background because she couldn't be more wrong"

“Mom?”
[immediate ugly cry]
I’m glad you and I are similar in that.

9:00 Btw I want to clarify: the sheep weren’t his food. The sheep was his BEST FRIEND. like a DOG. So what Ody is saying is ‘oh yeah we killed your dog here’s a speck of wine and a pun about you only having one eye’ like bruh
