Los Santos is one of the most detailed cities in any GTA game, but not every district is created equal. In this video, I'm ranking every district in Los Santos from WORST to BEST, judging them based on their atmosphere, activities, landmarks, and overall replayability.

From the industrial areas of La Puerta and the Docks to iconic locations like Vinewood, Los Santos International Airport, Vespucci, and South Los Santos, we'll be taking a look at what makes each part of GTA 5's map unique, and which districts are worth spending your time in.

With GTA 6 on the horizon, it's the perfect time to look back at GTA 5 and see which parts of Los Santos have aged the best.

I just wish los santos had more residential areas, these neighborhoods are just filled with abandoned buildings and factories, there's like 3 neighborhoods with houses, ig everyone else lives in apartments

Downtown LS is supposed to be like Downtown LA. In LA, there’s nothing to do in the downtown, it’s literally just where all the tall office and residential buildings are. I’m an LA native and it’s very well known here that everything to do is around the downtown, not in the downtown. GTA captures that perfectly

vinewood is definitely my favorite location throughout the whole game, nothing makes you feel more at home in gta 5 than driving around vinewood at night and seeing those neon lights, celebrities and master chief mascots hanging around the place man

I think this game’s depiction of LA, turning an urban sprawl of 8 million into something you can drive around in minutes, is still very impressive 12 years later. They nail the feel of some areas, just like GTA IV did for New York. But it’s showing its age in a lot of ways, like awkwardly short transitions between areas. I am super excited for GTA VI’s take on Miami, and the Deep South. I am from the US state of Georgia so I can’t wait to see some of that region depicted

Rockford hills is incredibly low on this list for me, it has so many places to go and shops. Golf course, biggest LS customs, apartments, big jumps, construction sites, mansions, Michael’s house, playboy mansion, not sure if you can count the university/athletics field, rich people walking their dogs, the list goes on! I find myself driving around here all the time

Downtown Los santos being boring is accurate to real life. Because downtown LA is pretty trash for it to be the second biggest city in the country

People say that GTA V's countryside is very forgettable but I think that the entire map is quite forgettable. GTA V is the last GTA I played but I still remember GTA VC and SA's maps much better. I won't even need a map in those games, even tho I played them so long ago. In V, once you beat the story, the entire map feels very flat. The only time certain areas feel interesting is during missions.

Los Santos shouldve been the main focus for the map development. It lacks a lot of cool landmarks( example: Staples center) and districts that LA has IRL. Wish it was larger, more detailed, and just better lol. hopefully when we revisit this city in a future gta in 40 years itll be better.

The City of Los Santos isn't always inspired by Los Angeles, but some of its districts are inspired by other census-designated places in L.A. County. Del Perro is inspired by Santa Monica. Rockford Hills is inspired by Beverly Hills. Vespucci has Marina Del Ray, you know where you find the boats.
