Paleto Bay just needed an airfield to complete the top of the map off.

it's sad how none of these towns don't even feel like towns... gta 5 is very entertaining but the world is so lifeless...

Every house from rdr 1
(I meant player homes)

I hope GTA 6s towns feel more like real life towns that you pass through while on roadtrips in the countryside. As someone who goes on roadtrips alot, GTA San Andreas literally NAILED how those small countryside towns look and feel.

Paleto Bay and forest is literally the most conflicting area. I hate it so much when I receive a mission that takes part in there but on the other hand, it's by far the most beautiful and picturesque area where I enjoy spending my time the most.

Played gta 5 for like 3 years, had no idea dignity village was a thing lmao

Idk why, but i love Grapeseed

One of the biggest problems GTA V has, is that none of the towns outside of Paleto and Sandy Shores feel like actual towns. Every single one of them feels like just a few buildings adjacent to the same major road that connects all of the settlements in the game. Everything is way too connected, everything is just down the road from everything else. Either the stupid highway that just runs a loop around the map, or route 66 in the middle from west to east. Totally boring, totally uninspired. I know the tech was limited, but man. If they really wanted a map like this to be good, they should have just waited one more effing year and built the game on PS4 tech and release it late 2014, early 2015. The difference would have been massive. The drab, crammed, but at the same time somehow empty and devoid of foliage and life map of GTA V is a huge waste of potential. Los Santos itself deserves a far bigger scale, and the nature deserves far more dense greenery and places to get lost in

TOWN:
A built-up area with a name, defined boundaries, and local government, that is larger than a village and generally smaller than a city.

In GTA5 theres only 2 maybe 3(Paleto Bay) on the map. all these little houses and tiny farms arent a town. I live in the middle of knowwhere on a working farm along with 3 other houses nearby. Its not a town. Its just a location on the outskirts but technically still is apart of the original town by address

I still remember exploring to find the small towns on launch day and being so bummed that they were worse than San Andreas

I though it sucked we'd have to wait 5 yrs for the next GTA map and now a decade has passed😂

San Andreas always needed a major city like Los Santos or a bit smaller, that’s why GTA san andreas felt inmense for me, having three different major cities made you feel that you were in a different map, It took me years to play San Andreas to really discover every site on the map, and Im not joking

Actually in that hobo camp it's fun to taunt NPCs there as trevor

Galilee should also get extra points as it’s one of only two spots on the entire map where the water plane spawns

Let’s give it a go,
Real life locations

Mt. Chiliad: Mount San Jacinto
Altruist Village: Bixby Bridge and surrounding environs
Stab City: Slab City, Sonora Desert
Alamo Sea: Salton Sea
Grapeseed: Bakersfield
Tongva Hills: Taponga Canyon
Fort Zancudo: Vandenberg AFB
Cape Catfish: Cape Cod, Massachussets (except they put it in California)
Mount Chiliad and Chiliad Mountains: Mt San Jacinto + San Jacinto Mountain Range
Sandy Shores: Salton City
Harmony: Victorville
Chumash: Malibu
Paleto Bay: Fillmore
Los Santos: TAKE A WILD GUESS

Although I despise the commute to Paleto Bay within the game, I would love to live there in real life.

Binge watching this channel, great work

Dignity Village? That’s clearly the prison Vanoss and his friends went to in GTA’s early years 😂

I thought you were a greater channel until i saw the likes, great video!
