Guard player here, the reason I love guard is because 99% of the time space marines walk through your units but I will never stop chasing the high I got from takeing the last wound on my buddies rhino full of space marines with a single guardsmans close combat weapon and then watching him roll a 6 on deadly demise effectively wiping out 400 points of space marines with a 5 point guardsman.
As an admech player, I salute you for appreciating both how cool the DaVinci-punk style is and the wonderful combination of goofiness and horror that is stiltboy, just as the Omnissiah intended.
You know what any person willing to stand up and tell thousand sons players to their face 'yes i do like the tzangors i think they are cool' has my respect.
Honestly as someone who enjoys playing Imperial Agents a thing I enjoy is playing as an inquisitor throwing the kitchen sink at a problem to try and stop it. Yes this inquisitor, a Rogue Trader, some Arbities, some Naval crewman, a Grey Knight, a Sister of battle, a Deathwatch veteran and an assassin are gonna try and stop that Ork Waaaagh. Somehow. Feels like the sort of thing that happens in 40k novels all the time, and I really enjoy playing that on the table.
Plus I can always justify an Inquisitor fighting anyone in my head, cause those space marines lead by Guiliman are clearly heretics!
If I must say it: The fact that Imperial Agents isn't a real cohesive force but a collection of eclectic "miscellaneous" units IS the main appeal. Including things like Rogue Traders and Inquisitors really helps sell the idea of a band of weird and particular individuals with their own skills, like you're building an extended RPG party that can invite the cops, or the navy. It's not going to be as good as a real organized fighting force, but it's such a "your guys" army that I can't help but admire the janky mess of just throwing everything leftover in and calling it a day.
Unless they change the points in the next dataslate, you can run a 12 armiger army (6 Helverin and 6 Warglaive) with a Gallant as your warlord for exactly 2000 points.
Surprised to hear the 'no anecdotes' critique from your earlier video. I honestly loved the more silly take on a tier list with such subjective, even petty reasons. It was very refreshing. You don't seem the sort to get swayed by validation, but for what it's worth, I love your video style!
I really love that your videos on 40k are so unique. 40k is one of those hobbies where 90% of the content is pretty much the same; batreps, painting tutorials, competitive tier lists, tips and tricks, etc. For how creative the hobby is, the content is relatively uncreative.
With this video I would never have guessed most of the points you made, I really appreciate your thought process and the way you explain it 👍
As a sisters player, I can tell you, i came for the church tanks, stayed for the insanely fun hyper aggressive glass cannon gameplay (and also church tanks)
Best part of Tau is that you do get two armies to play with. It’s either lots of elite heavy hitting mechs, or full on kroot spam with a couple mechs thrown in to look even cooler
