One thing you neglected to mention is the mile high marker on the capitol steps has to be re-surveyed and the marker moved every so often in order to account for rising sea levels around the globe.

The altitude indeed does affect many major sporting events and a few new league records were even set up here. Perfect example is longest field goal in NFL history, a record that stood for more than a few seasons.

I'm originally from Baldimore, MD, but I've been in Denver for four years now, and I love it here. There's so much I still don't know about this city, but I'm loving the discovery process.

One of my favorite things to do is ride around downtown and through the RiNo Art District on my mobility scooter — down the alleys, taking in all the artwork everywhere. I never realized how much I loved art until I came to Denver.

The architecture is amazing too. I love how you can see the old and new blended together throughout the city.

People might talk shit about Denver, but I like it here

As a native Coloradan, I have spent a-lot of time in Denver. My Grandmother, Aunts, Cousins all lived in Denver for years, I was fortunate enough to get to visit them in years past. It was always fun to visit my relatives there. I knew quite a few of these facts on Denver history.

While the exact phrase is generic, companies can trademark stylized slogans or logos containing these words. For example, the Adolph Coors Company (makers of Coors Light) has registered trademarks for marketing phrases like "Brewed with pure Rocky Mountain spring water" as a complete design and marketing mark.

Cherry creek is warmer than the South Platte River. The rivers gets its water from snow melt to the southwest of the city. Cherry creek originates down in El Paso county near the palmer divide.

Once upon a time Denver was a cool place to live. Now I barley visit twice a year, and I live 30 mins away.

There are still some times during the summer where Cherry creek and the Platte river confluence Still stink! Lived in the area,All my life.

Best collection of Denver facts I have found yet

There is a 1900's map in downtown Denver. It does not say downtowns street layout is because of the Platte River are the other city. It was because of the view of the mountains. When you are traveling west you see Mount Evans. South you see Pikes Peak. North you see Longs Peak. Certain parts of downtown you can still see this layout. This is also mentioned in a travel brochure. Another fact is all Denver parks and most metro area parks have to have a view of the mountains.

There are a lot of cool points to visit in Denver. I'm specially  excited about exploring their extensive mountain park system!

very well delivered

Thank you Dana for saving our awesome Larimer Square🙏❤️

It’s home! 🤙

Interesting,  good to know, information. I live in Teller County. The Gold mine that donated the material for the  Capitol Dome, is my neighbor. The mine is less than a 1/4 mile, North and West of my home.

The Post is awesome! Though I rarely hit Denver. We’ve lived in Erie since 2011 and I tend to stay north. So I hit up The Post in Lafayette. Highly recommend!
