We spun the wheel... and got Westfall. Not the highest level zone, not the most votes — but could the underdog zone still deliver? Spoiler: gnolls are carrying this economy.
In this episode of Goldlocked — a gold-locked, zone-locked Classic WoW challenge — I farm Westfall from scratch, discover some hidden gold farms, and run the Deadmines solo to push for the 175g goal.
Farms covered:
Murloc & shore crawler coast route (~6g/hr)
Defias Pathstalker hills (Silver Defias Belt hunt)
Gnoll camp chain pulls — the sleeper hit (~12g/hr)
Deadmines solo clear (~15g/hr, best in zone)
Timestamps:
0:00 — Recap & New Zone Spin
3:05 — Murloc Coast Farming
6:05 — Defias Hills & Rare Drops
7:50 — Gnoll Camp Discovery
9:36 — Deadmines Solo Runs
11:41 — Final Mailbox Clear
Vote on the next zone on the community tab! Next wheel: Stranglethorn Vale vs The Wetlands.

What I found while doing it was a large amount of chests in a relatively small easy to navigate area and a large amount of green drops some being unique that you so clearly found early on, including my absolute favorite melee leveling weapon the two handed sword Brashclaw.
That mixed with the coast mobs dropping all the unique coast regents and of course the massive amount of Deadmines greens, including that generally pretty uniquely large dungeon opening outside the portal packed with quick spawning elite mobs.
As one of the the zones I know so well i was curious to see how'd you handle it, even more so since your only somewhat above level to the content with the pet to balance things out, though this is one of the zones I actually grinded to level back in the day (It took me a while to figure out that quests were a major thing and you weren't just supposed to primarily grind legions of mobs to level lol) on the plus side I got a ton of great world drops that way though.
From my experience with the zone I'm not suprised you weren't here long before you hit the amount you needed to progress.
