Islamic apologetics are constantly a few decades behind Christian arguments. They’ll get there and not be any more right.

Anyone who thinks that a book is 100% true and cannot be questioned... is a  person who no longer has any ability to rationally evaluate the truth of a claim.

"And on the earth" - but he is saying: "And on the planet earth". Not a small detail. Nobody in the ancient world would refer to earth as a planet, and the Quran is no exception. They didn't even knew that there were other worlds out there, planet literally means wandering star. Venus, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn were the only visible wandering stars, they are called so because other than the stars in the sky, those 5 are roaming around in the sky and don't have a fixed position. This is what I really dislike about apologists, they lie so easily.

As a species, we stand in awe when we behold the natural world, then we imagine a meta-being and project our own feelings onto the being we created with our minds, generating  poetry along the way.  As Hitchens pointed out, we get to keep our feelings of awe, our sense of magic and wonder. We don't have to discard this portion of our humanity, just because we no longer need to give those feelings a name and worship these projections.

You missed another level on which he was wrong about orbits. The fact that they’re not relevant to days and nights at all!  They’re only relevant to years.  Its rotation that brings day and night 😆
