To me, the existence of apologists is one of the greatest pieces of evidence against Christianity. If God is all powerful and self-evident in nature, there is no need for people to go around proving he is real.

Daily Reminder: the vast majority of theists believe that the vast majority of theists are either honestly incorrect or actively lying.

Adam was made from dirt, which is not living, so they believe in abiogenesis too.

any argument that can be boiled down to "but...my bibble!" is intellectually void.

They’re making it very hard to tell faith from pure stupidity.

Hunger is responsible for the death of 3.1 million children per year?
Well, we all know how God feels about children.

If you didn't grow up in the religion, the things that Christians think are appealing are actually creepy. If a stranger comes up to you and tells you there is an invisible man who loves you, knows all about you, knows the number of hairs on your head (not very impressive for bald people), wants a relationship with you, and is responsible for those blank smiles on the faces of believers, that's when you say, "Go sell crazy somewhere else."  They fact they repeat these crazy and creepy things over and over as if they make sense makes it even worse.

If god is providing my food why do I need money to eat? Someone doesn't know what they're yapping about.

The only differences between a top name apologist and a random no-name is presentation skills and a budget.

Both use the same worn out fallacy-ridden arguments, appeal to scripture whenever that argument fails, and then says your at fault for not believing.

So he thinks humans are not animals. Is he a vegetable? Yup, sounds about right to me.

This would be an embarrassing "proof of god" even in a Sunday school class

Ah, yes. The scientific method.
1. Ask a question.
2. Believe God done it directly.
3. Wait for others to demonstrate the real answer.
4. Deny it as long as you can.
5. Accept the demonstrable answer and reframe your beliefs so that God done it indirectly.

The moment I heard the words "young earth" I scoffed loudly, knowing these folks are highly misguided.

Thanks for all you do!

That preacher is definitely clutching at straws there. Almost as bad as the old "Look at the Trees" argument. We humans aren't that good at sucking ants out of a nest.

If these so called scientists have genuine credentials, then I’m Willy fucking Wonka.

The fact that something is in the Bible isn't proof of anything except that idiots will believe the same stupid shit for thousands of years.

The Bible is the claim, not evidence

If any god wants to know me, let it prove its existence by appearing IN PERSON and introducing itself. I don't accept claims by mere humans of its existence. How ridiculous.

There are times when I'm embarrassed to be named Frank.

Unfortunately, we're learning today with the current political situation about the harmfulness of politicized religiosity that the New Atheist warned us about. It's no longer about irrational delusional people that we could basically dismiss, but of people who are contributing to real harm now and subverting our liberal democracy born of the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment, and we have to stand up and fight against this.
