I just finished 11/22/63, it was a wild journey. Top 5 Stephen king book as of rn

I recently watched The Green Mile movie. It was so good ! One of the best book-to-screen adaptations I have ever seen

Back when I was a teenager I had a membership to the Stephen King Book Club, similar to the tape of the month clubs for some small amount of money they sent you a few books. After that they’d send me another hardcover book every month if I didn’t opt out. I think Firestarter was my first book, though it could have been Christine. I read Firestarter so many times I wore out the hard cover I had, then multiple paperbacks. I was probably way too young to read Christine at the time. My neighbor had some sort of old car that reminded me of Christine. I wouldn’t cross the street in front of the car for months.

One thing that gets me is how peoples opinions differ wildly, even with people who like him. Salems Lot was the book that hooked me on to king, and I have never seen 11/22/63 so low.

Fairy Tale was amazing to read, i could see hints of a lot of other classic fairy tale books in it. It was so fun to read.

So excited for you to read The Wasteland eventually!!

Wow, some SK books I'd never heard of! Looking forward to checking out Duma Key and Fairy Tale. My favorite SK book is Dolores Claiborne, great structure!

I loved my immersive experience with The Stand. I read it this past winter in the middle of flu season. I work the night shift in a hospital 😅

Just found the channel. Loved the Carrie and Salem’s Lot video and of course, I love a ranking video. King is so fun. I can’t wait to read Duma Key. I never hear anything about it! Good luck with the whole reread. Such an undertaking. New sub 👍

So happy to hear how much you love Needful Things ! That is my favorite King book, the last 200 pages I was like 😰

The fact that we have the same opinions and how I was nodding and agreeing on all points especially 11.22.63. Finally found a stephen king fan with twin taste

When you said you thought the Old King versus New King talk is so frivolous you immigrated became my favorite booktuber. Great ranking. Of course I have a handful of different takes: ‘Salem’s Lot and Pet Sematary mainly. But so many rankings are 100%. So glad to see someone giving love to Duma Key and Fairy Tale. I have a very different and very unpopular take on the ending of Under the Dome. I think whether we think it good or bad, it is—if we think about what King was saying about the inadequacies of humanity—the fitting ending for the story. Also knowing someone else in the world has Needful Things as a favorite—but you have to read The Dark Half to go with Needful Things and technically Sun Dog (the three make up the Last Castle Rock Stories trilogy). Also right on about The Tommyknockers. I read that one right on the heels of It, and I was blown away. Still a favorite of mine, even though it gets such undue hate online. All kinds of devices and technology becoming possessed by the ghosts of long dead aliens. What’s not to love!?

Thanks for this! I've read it, carrie, misery, and really want to read needful things, pet semetary, the shining, the stand. Great video!

I’m on book six of The Dark Tower and man, what a series!

"IT" was my first King book. I read it in 1991, and my 2nd and 3rd King books was "The Stand" and "Needful Things".

Attmittedly I haven't read much else from him. I did just buy "Salem's Lot" to start once I finish "Death's End" (last book in "The Three Body Problem" trilogy). That's the main reason I clicked on the video, I wanted to see what someone else thinks of it. I watched the movie in the mid 90's and enjoyed it as cheesy as it was and have been wanting to read the book, but just never got around to it.

i just finished reading my first stephen king book, The Mist.

I enjoyed Horns by Joe Hill I wonder if you’d like a book written separately by him, as opposed to a cowork.

@jonathanrodriguez4666 3 days ago

This is why Stephen King rankings are so fun- no two are ever the same. I started King when I was 12, and 30 years later have read everything he’s written. Love the love for Duma Key. Definitely one his most underrated. Couldn’t disagree more about The Tommyknockers or 11/22/63, which again is what makes these fun. A few more underrated gems- Dolores Claiborne, and Desperation.

@darryldonnelly5363 1 day ago

Pet Sematary is and will always be my favourite book Carrie is second and The long walk is third I read a lot of his books it's hard to pick the other's as a top 10 lol

@r3lativ 4 days ago

Glad to see other people loving The Tommyknockers. I don't get it either why so many dislike it. I heard people say that it's too crazy. How's that a bad things?!
