It is so cool that your son will always have the memory of going through these iconic movies with his dad

As you say, it was a superb cast. However, I want to give some love to the often-neglected Robert William "Dabbs" Greer, who played old Paul with such extraordinary sensitivity. This was his final movie role in a 60-year career with hundreds of character roles on television and in movies.

Melinda Moores tells us why John Coffey is afraid of the dark. She says, “I dreamed of you. I dreamed you were wandering in the dark, and so was I, and we found each other. We found each other in the dark.”

John must experience darkness every time he feels people’s pain and hatred, or when he heals someone.

Growing up watching this, you cry at different parts once you hit certain ages. At the age I’m at now, Dale telling them “I sure wish I coulda met you guys someplace else” absolutely wrecks me. Truly a great performance from a very small character

Sadly, every actor who sat in that execution chair in the film has now also passed in real life. Amazing talents in this film.

27:55 "This film is gonna make us feel this execution...." You had NO IDEA at the time what an understatement that was.

It really touches my heart that you reached out to your son to make sure he was ok after the execution scene I am 63 yrs old and this movie always makes me cry no matter how many times I see it

Sam Rockwell said in an interview that the only thing he didn't like in the movie was having to say the racial slurs.

Stephen King really knows how to write an emotional story. And Frank Darabont knows how to interpret it in a screenplay. Very much enjoyed your reaction. Thank you.

Going into this movie blind is wild, well done

Percy's actor Doug Hutchison played the most terrifying X-files villain in it's history as Eugene Tooms. He featured in two awesome episodes.

M-O-O-N, that spells Tom Cullen. Deep Stephen king cut, nice 😂

John gave Percy the brain tumor. When Percy excreted the flies/black dots(?), it was taking the finality of the brain tumor out of him, but making Percy unable to be mentally stable and have to be instituted for the rest of his life. Which was more a punishment for Percy. One of the greatest movies out there.

This is one of those rare films that as you grow older every time you watch it you will find that it hits your heartstrings even harder! A true masterpiece... 💯💕

The black actor who played John Cofee was not much taller than Tom Hanks. He was standing and walking on raised platforms. May he rest in peace. He was also in Armageddon.

Love you checking in with him during the dale scenes. I remember watching this when I was about 14 and I’ve never cried that hard

One of the great elements of this film is that even the smaller supporting parts are very well cast and acted. Gary Sinise, for example, has only a few minutes on screen, but he does not phone it in.
