Coruscant had an active planetary shield during the Battle in the Republic Commando series, but they had to briefly lower sections of the shield to let ships (such as starfighters) through.

I hate to be that person 😭 But Grievous used the Providence Class Cruiser/Carrier variant at 1km long. The only know users in media of the 2km long Providence Class Dreadnought is Admiral Trench.

The Invincible: Providence Class Dreadnought
2kms long
Admiral Trench

The Invisible Hand: Providence Class Carrier/Cruiser
1km long
General Grievous

Im sure there was Providence Class Dreadnoughts present as well but Grievous didn't use the Dreadnought Variant of the Providence
(Not to be confused with the 4.8km long Subjecgator Class Heavy Cruiser)

From my understanding the whole plan was to send a massive fleet to distract the jedi and the clone army while general grievous would kidnap palpatine in the chaos. Then he would return to his ship and jump into hyperspace and the separatists would use the chancellor as leverage to negotiate a peace deal because by this point in the war the sepratists were losing. But of course the planetary shield would activate just in time to prevent the fleets escape leading to what happened in the movie. This was a massive failure for the sepratists but it was a success for sidious’s plan to end the clone wars and to turn anakin to the dark side.

Dont forget the CIS has 2 Recusant Class that was used as well during the battle:

The 1.1km long Recusant Class Light Destroyer

The 2.5km long Recusant Class Dreadnought

According to the novelization, the Jedi were very close to discovering Sidious's true identity.   Therefore, it was Palpatine's plan to get kidnapped    so as to throw the Jedi off the trail

Awe you should of mentioned how when  Grievous got to the Lucrehulk. Republic reinforcements from different sectors arrive. Some with ships never before seen like the Victory 1 Class Star Destroyers, Prototype Imperial 1 Class Star Destroyers and even 8km long Mandator 2's from Kuat. Even heavily upgraded Dreadnought Class Heavy Cruisers

I can't lie  that was a pretty good plan if not convoluted 🤭

18 minutes and the title question was never answered

He was the plan

Oddball starfighter was the Arc-170 starfighter

Gan you do a Video of Clones dat cud disobeyed order 66 like Fire? Please

Dude sounds like Chris Mclaine😂

15 min gang

Dooku was way smater to believe palpatine would just let him go with the knowledge he had, i cant even cook properly and this guy can shoot lighting from his finger tips, bs

Why does he keep calling it “galactic city” and not “the galactic city?”
It’s like a verbal typo how do you miss that?

11:00 One of the biggest issues here is WHY DIDNT DOOKU JUST RAT OUT PALPATINE??? He had nothing to lose at that point but his head! He's smart, surely he would have said something like, "Wait! I have critical information on who the sith lord is!". Surely it'd buy him enough time to AT LEAST be put into cuffs?

Well made video. It made me see the battle in a different light!

The random "slide change" sound effect edits between some sections is honestly just a waste of editing time, annoying, adds nothing.
