Let's be honest driving a tank and running over the car would be great but meeting Ted is the real prize.

Dear old Dad would have loved this ..He was a driver of a Churchill with the 34th Tank Brigade from Normandy to Germany 1944-45. He always had a good word for these tanks, slow but quite reliable, I have never heard a Bedford twin six running before either, Thank you for a great video lads!

Good thing Ted was there to supervise.

Just bumbled across your channel and I have to say how refreshing it is to see a group of young blokes who devote their lives restoring these old war horses.
My brother lives in Market Harbourough and I plan to visit there later this year. Do you guys run tours or allow visitors?

I can express how fun your videos are, who else is doing this??
The shear history in these machines, all the people who pushed these parts out during war, the designer staying late to draw out those redundancy coils, the person making the screws .. the people who designed, manned this tank are all gone, we are left with a snapshot of the time.

Of course you got it running; we had every confidence.

I only wish my Uncle was still alive, he was a civilian engine engineer instructor, who went around giving lectures and advice to the MOD instructors during WW2, for various engines from cars, lorries to aircraft engines. He died from stomach cancer in 1965.

Best part of the video is Captain Jack using a Snap-on Impact Light with a Milwaukee Battery. 100% Bad Ass.

The churchill was my first airfix tank, in about 1964. Still have it. So glad the mr Hewes team are working 12 inch to the foot in metal, rather than my 1/6th inch to the foot in plastic.

Success in getting the Churchill running was inevitable with Ted on hand to supervise.

Two cans of easy start. One self tapper. Two feet of insulated copper wire. One pinch bar. Some gasoline.. Bingo bango bongo bango

i've noticed that the rabble here , i.e the humans do not refer to Ted with his proper title
