Gaming Is Too Expensive… So I Went Back to Xbox 360

Gaming in 2026 feels like a bill, with consoles and games becoming increasingly expensive, leading to a serious case of gaming burnout. Instead of modern video games, I'm diving back into retro gaming to relive some childhood memories. There's nothing quite like the pure nostalgia of an old retro console!

Everything I say in this video is completely my opinion.
If you think I’m wrong, feel free to comment.

Even the Wii U acts more like a real console than consoles do nowadays. 😂

I have a Series X, but decided to pick up a 360 slim 250gb for $130 at gamestop + a warranty... picked up Need for Speed, Guitar Hero + Rockband games + a controller to play GH & RB for $245 (A lot of these games were $5-20 in my area)
So about $375 to relive what got left behind on Modern. It's amazing system to relive the part of my childhood that got left behind.

I even picked up an og Xbox for $150 at gamestop... expensive, but I atleast got a warrenty.
It's an era of gaming that got left behind due to licensing and it's just trapped here.

I already have a pc... so I don't see myself collecting a ton of games for this system overall due to steam sales and convenience + extra content on pc.

hey i remember watching youre teen titans video awhile back, you should make a new video called "how much time does teen titans go have left" that'd be so entertaining haha

I did the same- I loved my 360 back in the days and now I have the Star Wars Version 😎👍

Great find on the game lot! My 250gig Microsofts HD was $20 used for my Slim. Added an external 120mm fan.

I went back to the Xbox 360 myself last week as I picked up an Xbox 360 Slim 250 GB, and I just sold my PS5 because I was fed up with the direction of how modern gaming is going. I'm just not interested in new games anymore and growing up with the PS2, PS3 and Wii I never experienced an Xbox console myself either. Picked up half a dozen or so games, The Gears Of War trilogy, Fallout 3 GOTY edition, Fallout New Vegas (need to find the Ultimate edition though), along with Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4 I've been having a blast and enjoying the older games.

they shut down or locked my account out of every device i own or shadowbanned but my xbox 360
my ps3 my psp wii and my 750m lenovo laptop
like as in they canceled me lol
xbox 360 is def worth it
my plan is to put custom software on everything i own to try and get what i had back.
and then grab whatever is old as possible to run pc games or a pc handheld

I never had an Xbox 360 but it's definitely a console I considered back then. I went for the Wii and it wasn't just because I'm a big Nintendo fan as I grew up in the 90s and loved playing SNES even more than playing the genesis, and I loved my N64 a lot more than I loved playing the ps1, and my family went for the GameCube in the early 2000s although my brother did get an xbox, but I loved the Wii when getting it back then. I was actually 18 years old when the week came out so that was actually the first Home console that I actually bought. However I was curious about the Xbox 360 but in the end eventually my brother the same one who got an original Xbox actually got a PS3 and quite honestly the PS3 console than a 360 but there are some exclusives that might have been fun to play on 360

Where'd you get +$600 for a Switch 2 in your thumbnail? It's going up to $500 in September but right now it's $450.

If anyone watching has never tried a 360, it's the easiest recommendation I can make. Even if you thought you weren't interested. I was that person during the 7th gen.

I recently picked one up for fun to see what I missed. No nostalgia glasses at all. It's just incredibly fun. A huge library of games that still look and feel great, and are generally very affordable. (But they won't be forever. People are starting to catch on. 👉)
