Which is what perfectly matched Trevor and Michael with Franklin with that contrast. Trevor and Michael are two bank robbers clinging to the romanticized versions of their old life, desperately trying to find a way to dig the old versions of themselves back up.. Franklin is the opposite, he’s so willing to find a new version of himself. He will shovel as many piles of dirt on the old him as he can. Franklin wants to be what Michael and Trevor were… and Michael and Trevor also want to be what they once were
