I just wanted to clear something up I've seen a lot of people here talking about. I said in this video that politics are bad for games, left leaning or right leaning, and I think I did not make it clear about what I actually meant by this.

GTA games have always used parodies of politics in their games and punched in both directions, which is one of the reasons why people loved the older games. It's true. Its a satire version of America and it's brilliant.

However I said that I disliked politics in games because we play games to FORGET about real life, escapism really. What I truly meant by this is one sided politics that push an agenda, that's what makes games worse. GTA famously played both sides, and whether you find half the jokes funny, and half the jokes unfunny, or enjoy both, that balance was always a fair one. Non-bias.

When I say politics are bad left leaning or right leaning, I meant that literally. Left OR right. Choose one side and it's a political agenda in your game, then the writing suffers, because you are limited to a set way of thinking. Your jokes are predetermined by THAT angle. So are your themes.

The grifters and LARPers I mentioned think just that. The game is feminist or the game is woke slop. You can believe what you like, but I really do not think so. Rockstar might tone it down, sure, or maybe not. To be honest, at this point, they really do not have to make a "parody" of real life anymore, 2026 writes the script itself lol.

People complaining about Lucia being badass, clearly forgot about Lara Croft fighting a fucking T-rex 😭

I want to believe those youtubers are larping for profit, but some of the video essays I've seen are  so authentically delusional that I think they are just genuinely that paranoid. lmao

It's not "Cthulu in disguise", it's not 'the second coming of christ', it's not "savior/destroyer of the gaming industry" either. It's nothing more than a video game many people are excited to experience.

There's quite a few things to criticize about the game, mostly about Rockstar's decisions, but those guys address NONE of those things.

Also, about the graphics, people forget that you don't have the same freedom when you work in an open world, of course games that are more linear are most likely to look infinitely better than an open world, because they can put as much details as they want in a much more limited space and separate levels, so GTA 6 and RDR2 looking so beautiful with a very detailed world, and RDR2 running that well in a ps4 is practically a technical miracle.

Me and my friend have been talking about this since the extended look it is ridiculous that we live in a time where people will believe any video that’s just hating on GTA6 instead of going and researching. this was a great video you made so many good points.

The sense of entitlement amongst veterans is almost overshadowed by the arrogance of younger gamers. I literally got told by a teen a few years back "This game is shit because it only reaches 60 FPS, and cannot even reach 120". When I asked, can you explain the difference of why one is better? I got shrugged at and told "It's fluider"

The fault lies PRIMARILY on influencers/streamers, whose knowledge of digital medium comes from utter ignorance in the subject, at best picked up by hearing conversation of people with more knowledge and then regurgitating it back with complete inaccuracies, like listening a game developer talking at a conference and pretending they understood what the dev said. The same goes for politics, when these streamers who grew up poor and in complete ignorance, break through and become famous, suddenly everybody thinks they are super knowledgeable and well knowing, but the truth is they are still those ignorant poor kids who could not make it it in regular society and have been isolated in their single point view of the world.

Your "They pick a side and wants to die on that hill regardless if true or not" is spot on. And you can also thank that on the complete dismantling of the concept of "humility" "kindness" and "truth" because those are the scary "woke" stuff. Admitting being wrong makes you a "cuck" or that your opinions will no longer matter, which of course is the complete opposite of reality, where admitting when you are wrong, elevates you as a human being. We live in a society that values more shock value and arrogance then empathy and coming together in an understanding that others have different points of view.

On your bit about politics in games, I disagree. ANY medium has had politics injected into it, since pacman with the female packman needing to wear a bow in her head so that we'd know she is "female" (because that's what all girls wear right?).
Politics is simply the idea of sharing an opinion. So if you glorify murder and killing and saying "yeah but the character had it rough growing up" you are picking up a political side, regardless if the game is great or not. You cannot escape this. In a fantasy game where for instance orcs comes and invade the country of humans draws parallels to real life events, IS political. Ask ANY game and I will point out its politics easily. Once more, ignorance of politics does not mean you can say "There are no politics" jsut like "left and right" are not the same fucking thing, both standing for completely opposite values.

The TLDR is basically: Stop listening to people online and form your own opinions, life suddenly becomes more fun "Trust me bro".

14:00 I think it's a bit silly we have to argue over the cinematography. I've also seen the arguments so I get it. But when I see jason walking behind her like that it's impossible not to think he's doing that to protect her. Danger behind, he takes the bullet. Danger ahead, they both see it. But even just walking through a mall if you make your girl follow you you're fs the type to get cheated on and not realize for like a year.

The one handed reload is very possible.

im with the people who have been looking forward to this game since they learnt about gta games,     i know this might sound a bit deranged but its like a lifegoal to me to play gta 6

With the Lucia stuff where she's fighting, if you pay attention (doesn't take much to see) she's clearly having to do more to be able to fight them, she's being quick and dodging for her size which Is a basic tactic in fights and she's having to use both  hands to blocked one man's punch

So glad this video and similar ones are coming out, outrage politics have no place in games

Another arguement against people calling GTA6 feminist is that if it really was feminist, they wont show a strip club and twerking in the trailers. The extended look has a short scene where Jason and Lucia are seen together at a strip club and Jason is raining money on a pole dancer infront of Lucia. Which probably means the actual missions, cutscenes have them too.
