Great interview all the way around.

Pertinent, well-formed questions and as usual cogent and sensitive answers by Dawkins.

For those interested in the idea of extending Humanism to seriously consider all sentient beings, the Sentientism worldview may be worth a look: "Evidence, reason, and compassion for all sentient beings."

I'm pushing 30 and i still think about just how much i could have enjoyed life if my father would have been this guy. Not that my father was a big issue, i just didn't have anybody i could talk to.. or listen to, for that matter.

Richard Dawkins has looked 55 for the past 30 years. His age is starting to show, but I'm so grateful he's still around and is still so incredibly intelligent and insightful and polite when he has no good reason to be polite in this age of chaos. Kudos to the host for ousting Trump as a closet atheist so nonchalant.

Fantastic interview. Some very thoughtful questions. I'm glad I went to see Mr Dawkins live a few weeks ago and this feels like a natural continuation of that talk.

Richard has been asked about the book title for 50 years. A few times he's said he was a bit regretful about the title. I like it, I like the word play (and I'm not sure Richard has thought about it), Self-ish gene - i.e. "self" as a property and description of the genes, like "blue-ish water".

Great interview! Thank you.

It's so good to see Richard again. I was getting worried after we haven't seen a new upload to his channel in 8 months.

00:46 “… and it continues to divide some people to this day”. I’m still undivided, with my head, torso and limbs on this couch.

The only thing I would suggest with any conversation regarding consciousness is coming to an understanding of what each of us means by "consciousness". This way, we at least understand where each other is coming from.

A wonderful interview with a brilliant man and a hero of mine. A joy to hear him talk about side a wide range of topics thrown to him by the interviewer. 10/10
