Thanks for your videos. I'm a 64-year-old male. Started Martial Arts training from the age of 13. I've trained in Karate, Judo, Indonesian Silat, 40 years of Qigong, some Wing Chun, and currently training Sun Lutang's system of Taiji, Xingyi and Bagua in China. I'll be going through the discipleship ceremony later this month. I'm training towards completing all three systems in order to become a lineage holder. I've also met with Sun Lutang's granddaughter and great granddaughter in recent months.

The highest level of martial arts is not about competing for superiority, but to have the ambition to save the people and the world.

Thanks a wonderful insight Sun Lutang -  a master of 3 internal chinese martial art soft but explosive fighting styles.

It was heartbreaking to witness how contemporary martial arts (MMA) were destroying these Chinese kung-fu masters. Additionally, a lot of them are merely acting like masters, which is why modern fighters are testing them as imposters.

You are a fantastic teacher and your Chinese is impeccable. I love your videos

Grandmaster Chang Dung Sheng was another martial arts master that used these styles plus Shuai Chiao .Chang Dung Sheng was undefeated.

I’m glad you mentioned Sun Lutang, whose contributions to internal martial arts have been largely forgotten on the world stage. He is like the Einstein of Kung Fu. The footsteps he traced have faded from memory, yet the theories he developed are astonishingly accurate, depicting the evolution of the human body and the form of Qi. He was not a talker, but a practitioner who conquered China with his internal martial arts, and his students went on to achieve astonishing success in martial arts as well.

Im so happy you've done this. Its been about two years since i requested this i think.

ThankYou For The Guidence To Sun LuTang

Thanks for this I’ve been training Sun style for 30 years! Such a great story!

Incredible. So thankfull for your effort to educate us on these aspects of Martial Arts.

Man those videos are just awesome

I learned the internal style names as Mind-Body ( Hsing Yi) and deep legs (Bagua Zhang) with Tia Chi as the three internal schools. This was 60 years ago, the most profound training for these schools is done in Taoist meditation.
You have such an interesting channel. Cheers.

saw my practiced style Ba Gua Zhang and cheered lol.

What an amazing journey through history.

Thank you for featuring my Shifu Sun Wanrong in her grandfather Sun Lutang's story.

Thank You 🙏🏼☯️

Thanks! Best regards! :hand-pink-waving::hand-pink-waving::hand-pink-waving:

It's actually really interesting how the Wai Jia Quan (External) and Nei Jia Quan (Internal) dichotomy first emerged. It actually had more of a socio-political conotation.

Wai Jia Quan were often used to refer to arts rooted in Buddhist philosophies and teachings. Buddhism was considered the "foreign" religion brought from India, hence why they were deemed External styles.

Conversely, Nei Jia Quan was used to refer to styles drawing on Daoist philosophy and teaching. Since Taoism was considered the native religion, those styles were labeled Internal.
