The people who say "it's not for you" spend all day complaining about media not being for them.

He’s right, Jim’s right. The game wasn’t meant for me so I didn’t buy it and I have 0 intentions to buy it.

"Yeah, well Lord of the Rings isn't meant for you, yet here we are."

The duality of identity politics in gaming: Tell the average gamer, the game isn't made for them. Seethe when the game bombs.

"I just like attention" Jim, Jimothy, Jimbo... we noticed. The blind and the dead noticed.

Funny how “it’s not made for you” somehow doesn’t apply to the things they don’t like.

“The sun burns my eyes when I look at it, it’s painful.” Yeah well the sun wasn’t meant for you.

The worst thing you can do to a franchise is make a universally beloved first installment of something that has already been completely established just to change it for a specific audience and alienate existing fans of said franchise in later entries.

"Im looking foward to boys s2"

Ah the times of innocence. If only Mauler knew.

"It's not for you" is just the last ditch attempt these people have to get you to shut up. They will never accept it going the other way around. These people are not against gatekeeping, rather they want to be doing the gatekeeping.

Kinda wild how we went from “it’s normal to not find muscular women attractive” to “you’re lying about not finding aloy attractive”

I love how Jim says Abby dared to be the main character, as if she is a real, sapient person

A wise man (Mauler, I think) once said, Isn't it amazing how the "It wasn't made for you" argument never comes up whenever we're talking about GOOD games?

“Nothing should be meant for you, but everything should be meant for me.”

Neil Druckman built his coffin with last of us 2. He nailed it shut with intergalactic.

"This product wasn't made for X!!!"
(A month later)
"Why didn't X consume this product!?!!?"

@MungusMagungus 1 year ago

Holy shit, it's so uncanny hearing Mauler talk about The Boys as something to be excited about.

Something about Abby's design struck me as weird from the outset. Is it cheating if I mention how it's a separate model's face on a separate model's body? Cause that's what I think I subconsciously picked up
