My Late Dad was his Chief Scout for 21 years I met Brian and Peter (Taylor) on many occasions they both always made a fuss of me which I'll never forget.

Martin is a deeper thinker than 99% of footballers. Smart guy and his respect for Clough is touching.

The only manager who ever could be the biggest legend for two rival clubs

My in-laws are from Nottingham and tell me that once Brian Clough driving down the A52 which is now called Brian Clough Way, saw someone broken down in his car at the side of the road wearing a Forest scarf, he stopped, the chap was going to miss the match so Clough gave him a lift and drove him to the match. A world of values that have gone forever and not just in football.

Brian Clough the best England manager we never had

He turned a team of very good players into a team of truly great players.

I was blessed to have seen Brian Clough play at every home game at Sunderland.  NEVER MIND WHAT A GREAT MANAGER HE WAS,  WHAT A PLAYER !

Brian Clough and Martin O'Neil both talk commen sense and always a delight to listen to.

Myself and my Dad had been to watch Derby, it was a very wet day and we were waiting for the rain to stop after the game to walk home.  Clough stopped and gave us a lift home. That’s character.

Martin O Neill should be permanent addition to the show

For me, the romance of football is more about the moments, personalities and stories than it is about stats or even trophies. Brian had everything but he will forever be talked about with fondness for his quirky character and sense of humour.

One of only 2 English managers to retain the European Cup,outstanding.

Love whenever they’ve got Martin on the show

I love Martin and his beautiful accent. So intelligent

Martin O’Neil absolutely superb, great player, great pundit and dry wit also 😊

I could listen all day long to story’s about Brian Clough

Legend. The best ever manager in English football. No manager has ever gone and taken two second division sides to the title (and two European cups) with pretty much the same players that were struggling in the second division!

Brian Clough one of the greatest ever managers. His stories were a delight to listen too. Loved his passion & no nonsense attitude

It's worth noting that Brian on his own did not have a great managerial record. But with Peter Taylor as his assistant manager and chief player scout the success was practically instant and beyond fans wildest expectations.
That was the real tragedy in that they couldn't just stay a team and I can't think of any other more famous manager /assistant manager relationship ever. Most times I don't even know who my own teams assistant manager is

Peter Taylor said to Brian Clough during a match,,,,
''Brian, David's been knocked out,, concussion''
Brain said ''Does he know his name''
No boss....
Right, tell him he is Pele and get him back on the pitch
