My Father was on the line at a forest match once,at the end of the game, there was a knock on the Officials door.Brian Clough came in ,he thought Forest should have had a penalty. He had his say then left, only to open the again ,and say to the Referee,"I've made an appointment for you at the Opticians tomorrow "
Loved Him, He was F#cking MEGA, We could do with him Right Now in Parliament kicking the Bollocks out of the Muppets in there and the Muppets Ruining Football for that Matter..RIP Brian Clough..🙏🌞❤️
I love these stories! And this is coming from a person who has zero internet in football. Never knew who Brian clough was before listening/watching these videos. He seems like absolute charecter and an amazing leader.
The players telling the stories tell them in a way that animates them and brings them to life!
Brian Clough was a genius, it is an absolute disgrace that the FA didn't give him the England job and it was all because they wouldn't have been able to boss him around. England may have had 2 or 3 stars on their shirts now if the FA wasn't so corrupt.
I remember some Forest fans got a bit overly defensive about the Dean Saunders signing story, claiming he made it all up when the story is so absurdly detailed to be fantasy. I think some just get touchy if you imply Brian was an alcoholic when I don't think he was but during this era I think he was just enjoying himself a little too much. It was evening, Forest didn't have a game for a few days so he's perfectly entitled to have a drop or two. It doesn't alter my opinon of Brian as one of the best managers of all time one bit. If anything it just made him more human to me
The Clough stories would make for a great retro sitcom. 😂 . Get all the ex players that knew him to give the writers their stories and get them to make guest appearances on the show.
Think about this ladies and gentleman the man they’re talking about won the League Championship with Derby and Nottingham Forest! I mean the man was a genius winning the top league with teams he took from the second division. Incredible man. Clough was at his peak throughout the 70s. Two provincial teams beating Leeds and Liverpool. Clough was a genius.
