3:16 TerminalMontage stabbed Samus before it was cool.

SHE’S BACK, AND SHE’S HUNGRY.

The idea of making Ridley his box accurate colours because of the glow of the lava that then returns to purple as he flys further away is genius

@KevinKottom 1 year ago

Imagine the entire Metroid series from the Space Pirates POV. She has single handedly taken out their entire army multiple times. They must be absolutely TeRrIfIeD of her!!

2:46 fun fact the speedrunners sometimes call the gravity suit item “magic pancakes” because of this video

So I just got through Metroid Dread. I think they watched this while they made that game, because this exact vibe, this exact same energy, is how Samus rolls up on EVERYBODY in every cutscene.

@smokingcrablmao 6 years ago

God, something about how samus just screams “CHICKEN STRIPS!” And then just totals the mother brain...

YOU HAVE TO DO ONE ABOUT METRIOD DREAD

@WizzyWizWizzy 6 years ago

I love how she’s like, “Magic pancakes? *burp noise*”

When you die, your voice gets added to the discover chorus when Samus finds an item.

Forgot one funny detail: speedrunners stay in morphball form while waiting for Kraid's spawning animation, as it normally lags the game a little bit but being in Morphball speeds it up thanks to rendering less stuff, making the spawning finish faster.

5:34 OMG the mother Brain from the old TV-Show Ö.Ö

@formerctgovernordannelmall1452 4 years ago

The idea of Samus rolling her arm cannon up like a sleeve just to beat the crap out of Ridley is so comically absurd yet so shockingly in character.

@phillipenorthbrook2358 6 years ago

Samus: Hippity hoppity, these weapons are now my property.
This is how speedruns are actually played.

@4ncientGu150 4 years ago

I also like the implication at 5:53 from Samus' confusion over not being able to leave the room.
She's been doing everything up till now because she really DOES know the map like the back of her hand, and she IS that good.
Not because the player has put her through this multiple times to master the game.
