1:02 because water is really expensive and difficult to animate.
2:44 which is actually a nice piece of the world building.
3:34 and leaving them in a random trench in Australia.
3:47 Orphans!
4:13 the way it happens is kind of just stupid.
5:19 actual clip
6:00 I absolutely loved that episode.
6:36 the 2nd worst thing that has happened to these orphans in their lives.
6:53 and because of the amazing sound design.
7:35 tone of the first film.

28:34 why only women?
28:52 dude these orphans are getting destroyed.

Nah this aint pacific rim its just a documentary about Australian kids going home from school

Pacific Rim: "WE ARE CANCELLING THE APOCALYPSE"

Pacific Rim-The Black: "So about that ..."

Escape Australia: The anime

I think on of the reasons the Jaegers seem like they have less weight is the sound.
In the first movie we could hear the wine and clicks of the machinery the second didn't have that.

This show should’ve been 4/5 seasons . i feel like the writers were midway through 2 when they were informed they had to wrap it up.

28:16 People who worshipped the Kaiju appeared in Pacific Rim before, they werent proeminient.

Australian nature documentary

someone actually remembers this This feels weird.

Apex was easily one of the best things to come out of this anime, I really wish we got a figure of him

Counter argument to not getting the context from pacific rim two.

You don’t have to watch pacific rim 2.

Huge voice crack at 27:01 😂

14:25 I theorized that Apex believed that Boy would be safer inside of the facility and he was kinda right big example Sisters of the Kaiju

The reason why the old guy taming Kaijus makes no sense is the same reason Newt got mind-controlled by the Precursors in the second movie: the Kaijus are psychically connected to the Precursors at all times…so basically a bunch of Precursors felt an old guy was trying to tame their Kaijus and just decided to…go along with him for a while? Why??

17:42 sure, training animals the size of buildings may be a bit much, but around half of us Australians have spiders as room-mates. Around HALF of them can kill us, but we let them stay anyway. And also we had someone, Stephen Robert Irwin, who WRESTLED WITH crocodiles. You have not seen the true extent of the land down under until you've visited the land down under.

19:08 I've always had the theory that the reason that the Kaiju aren't acting as killing machines is that they're essentially cut off from their masters, that after their repeated failures their masters literally threw everything and the kitchen sink at Earth out of frustration, destroying the place rather than capturing it, and then they dipped, only throwing more kaiju when they need to test out a new prototype.

so about the cult leader, she was human but has basically changed immensely by kaiju blood rituals. she was trying to become what the "boy" is, Basically a titan-shifter, except instead she just became Voldemort

My favorite part of this series is that after jumping into the memories of a previous Jaeger pilot the brother literally had memories of people he never actually met, it was like he accidentally got lost in another person's life

The anime was really nice, I just have two small things that annoy me :
-at the very beginning when the Kaiju kills all the kids in the canyon, I think the brothers should have shown more regret cuz they literally walk off after a few tears even though they literally attracted the Kaiju ( I know that they're on the run but still, they spend 5 years of their small lives in a very close community and they just leave)
- excluding the mystery behind how the dad got to the military base, why didn't he send someone to pick the kids up, he's a respected Jaeger so I don't see why the army would disagree to help the kids, especially if some have been trained to pilot a Jaeger too.

I would say pacific rim is more of an ultraman or showa era super robot show-like, because other than having giant robots and giant monsters it really has close to no similarities to evangelion
