Might be confusing after my post, but I should've said, I am not stopping the perspective series completely, will be alternating the two concepts

Imagine moving into a new forest area and the local rabbit population has built human sized mechs and they actually take out several humans. We would probably be very surprised. I know I would be.

Pacific rim is cloverfield if the Humans weren't being constantly nerfed .

The wall concept is insane, annoying, stupid and hilariously realistic.

"-And so the Precursors were blown to smithereens the end"

"But what about the sequel?"

"They were blown to smithereens THE END"

According to lore the humanity fend off the first ever kaiju using tactical nukes. The precursor overmind must have be wondering why such powerful and unfair weaponry was not used since then.

The reason why they engaged in hand to hand combat is because shooting the kaiju while effective spilled lots of "kaiju blue" (monster blood) which is toxic to everything on earth, they realised that blunt force trauma and cauterising blades were way more effective at killing kaiju while limiting the amount of kaiju blue spilt into the oceans.

Pacific Rim gets ten times funnier when you realize the Kaiju showed up expecting a normal planetary conquest and instead got jumped by skyscraper‑sized luchadors. Humanity really said ‘no guns, only suplexes’ and the Precursors never emotionally recovered.

The only reason the kaiju show up in waves is due to the time moving differently on the other side of the portal. Gravity in various parts of the universe changes how time flow, and the precursors had to slowly adjust how time was moving so it matched on both sides. To them. They were likely sending as many kaiju as possible though the portal as the could. One after the other side every few minutes. And then suddenly about 15 minutes into the invasion. A robot falls back through the portal and nukes their faces.

Because if you were ever going to get weapons funding on a global scale, it was going to have to look cool AF.
"World leaders, I stand before the UN to plead with you to invest your nation's resources and talent in building the most advanced war machines this planet has ever seen.
Also, it's going to look sick when they fight."

There is no second movie in Ba Sing Se 😂 loved it

Alien Kaiju culture does not respect the 1v1 😢

Precursor: "would you look at that. Greg's home!"
*Jaeger showed up
Precursor: "that ain't Gre-" *Gets vaporized

I like to imagine that the precursor’s face when it saw that jaegar come out of the portal was the same for the first people who saw a kaiju emerging from the ocean: Shock and Awe

There's a point in the movie that's understated and kinda scary. Is that when Newt drifts the aliens they get even the smallest extra knowledge from someone who doesn't work with jaugers (pilots in the head, made of metal,  runs off electricity), they immediately incapacitated 3 of them in a single fight. Before, they were throwing whatever, now they knew what was on the other side.

Even if they had more jaugers, they wouldn't have lasted much longer.

the reason the wave concept works is because even dead, the kaiju are working to terraform, they continue to alter the local ecosystems as they decompose, all while sending more and more. the kaiju aren't people, they're biological weapons and tools

2:15 Kaiju: We've conquered races of untold technological prowess...

Humans: We will punch you really really hard.

Imagine they decide to colonise a planet of even bigger creatures and to them kaiju just looks like a bunch of ants.

Theres a reason they sent one or two at a time, in waves. Trespasser, the first kaiju, wasnt meant to be defeated, and each new one is made with these failures in mind.

They arent animals, and dont live in the rift until theyre brought into being by the precursors. On paper, kaiju are also mechs

First rule of Pacific Rim, it has no sequel, we all wish it did.

Second rule, Kaiju Blue, the blood is a highly toxic ammonia based compound that one shots marine life and aerosolizes when in contact with oxygen for too long. The tactical nukes they use on the first spreads it far enough that they immediately know and see the effects of it, hence the pivot to the Jaegers.

This is the foundational understanding of "Why giant robot when not tactical nuke", the Precursors live in ammonia heavy environments, and their biology is suited for it, hence why they choose earth to start terraforming. The Kaijus both are a weapon meant to eradicate human civilization, and a delivery system for their terraforming substances.
